Bottle 330 ml, poured into a tulip glass at home, ABV 6.5% Dark orange colour on the body, mostly clear, good sized off-white head on top. Good density, even better retention. Medium lacing left on the glass. Aroma of smoke, peat, peaches coing from the back along with sugar and some light yeast. Taste is sweet, fruity with a metallic touch, very light smoke and light citrus on the finish. Medium bodied, good carbonation, quite dry on the palate. Overall quite good, I’d prefer a little more smoke on the flavour. Very drinkable though.

Drank a bottle with Lennart @ De Beyerd, Breda. Okay beer, not very special. Lots of carbonation. Has a nice taste to it, but nothing very special.

Smoke more in flavor then aroma. Too little other flavors, also a little too thin for my taste. Bottle from the Mitra Vismarkt in Groningen.

Bottle. Dark golden, cloudy, large and mostly lasting head. Moderate, malty and sweetish aroma, some caramel and light bread, light smokiness and faint hoppyness. Body is medium, malty and sweetish flavor, some caramel and light bread, light smokiness. Finish is average, malty and lightly sweetish, light caramel and smokiness, light hoppyness and alcohol. Rauchbier with caramel. Also fihish has too much alcohol considering the body. Nice head though.

33cl bottle @home. Pours amber with a white adhesive creamy head. Aroma is a little smoke, fruity. Smoked taste is very subtle, little bitterness. Not bad.

I tasted the smoked Embrasse and I liked it, so this one seemed promising. It has a good looking, brown and white head, medium lasting, leaving no head. Nevertheless, the aroma is slightly weak, it’s difficult to distinguish mire notes than a little bit of peat, raw malt and, maybe, bread. Mouthfeel is better, smoky, pretty spicy, but somehow unbalanced. Well carbonated, astringent and spicy finish, watery texture. Medium development, and relatively well structured. Anyway, it’s a pity, I expected more.
