Draught @ 15e Kerstbierfestival 2009, Essen, Belgium.
Clear medium to dark amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, spicy, licorice - star anis, anis seed, coriander. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long to average duration. Body is medium, texture is medium to watery, carbonation is soft. [20091212]

From tap, Kerstbier Festival 2009. Pours hazy dark orange to brown with a bubbly off-white head. Aroma is spiced, annis seed and coriander. Sweet malty, roasted and with a nice matching spice note to this. Lingering roasted and annis seed flavoured finish, rather dry into the far finish.

Bottled. A hazy dark amber beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, and straw. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, alcohol, and metal, leading to a dry finish. The body is light.

Bottled (from beerplanet.eu). Orangeish brown colour with a mediumsized off-white to beige head, that leaves some lace. Aroma is wheat, caramel, some slight fruityness as well as yeast. Flavour is wheat, caramel, mild notes of chocolate as well as some toffee and mild creamy notes.

Bottle @ Willems, Belgium. Pours dark mahogany brown with a stable creamy white head. Dark fruit, raisin and a bit of herbs. Mild anis. Sweet malty. Full bodied. A bit of warmth.
