3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from ABC. Nose of peat and smoke, wood, chocolate, caramel. Dark brown with orange tints and lace. Sweet and fruity in front, chocolate, orange, caramel, peat, tangy hops and fruity finish, pepper. Sweet and tangy then peat does not work all that well. Also quite thin. Disappointing.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
bottle 66 cl. Very dark brown, with a big creamy head.
Nose is malty, with some burned oak woods and a hint of vanilla.
On first site there seems to be just sweetness and wood and no complexity. roling it through the mouth reveals a bit of more of the complexityDon’t drink this straight away or it will not show the full palate. It’s really a beer to enjoy.
Flavour: wood(oak), sweet caramel, alcohol, vanilla and roasted malts.
Medium body , oily texture and mild carbonationation.Long aftertaste.
IIn short it’s a nice big ale with some whisky’s tones.

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Dark brown color, light brown head. Huge peaty nose with burnt wood, charcoal character. Very powerful. The mouth starts too sweet, smokey, very malty. Boozy and intense, but the sweetness really takes this off balance. Not that palatable and little complexity. Warm peaty finish. Very unimpressive.
