[ As De Dochter van de Korenaar Embrasse Peated Oak Aged Laphroaig ].
Slow gusher !!
Unclear medium brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, dark malt, burnt, whisky, peat, smoke. Flavor is moderate sweet and ligght bitter with a long duration, ash, peat, smoke. IMO. quit simple but okay. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20160624]

From Bottle @fonefan gueuze tasting Ulfborg, thanks to fonefan - june 24th 2016. Pours a murky dark reddish brown with a big, off white head. Aroma has lots of smoke, peat, other words for smoke, but can’t really find other words for it. Smells pretty good though, since it’s pretty close to laphroaig. Taste is somewhat sweet, peaty, fat. Peat hides alcohol really well. Has a high carbonation and a light body for the ABV. Simple but nice...... HOW IS THIS NOT A SMOKED?!

Bottle at Craigs. Gusher! Pours murky brown with a short-lived beige head. Aromas of peat, whisky, medicinal. Taste is woody, whisky, peat. Tcp finish. Thin. Might as well just drink the whisky to be honest.

But murky brown, decent ringed head. Nose is rich meaty peatxwet tobacco and burnt crust. Initial taste is soothing sticky medicinal tea, soft roast and appley glint of sweetness. Carbonation is fairly middling and mouthfeel is soft enough. Finishes oddly soft sweetness and syruppy appley linger.
