Bottle shared during the RBESG 2014 opening dinner - CBC Clapham. Pours clearish, deep amber with a creamy tan head. Good stuff, plenty of ripe berries, strong peat, some woody notes, alcohol, earthy bitterness. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Warming finish with deep peat, light dry cocoa, old fruits. Solid.

Bottled shared at RBESG 2014 at CBC Clapham. Cloudy chestnut brown with an off white small head. Nose is earthy, manure, farmyard, musty grain, lots of smoke and very peaty, smoked sausage, light pale toasty grain. taste is beautifully smokey and peaty, fruity hop, smoked sausage, light roasted grain. I could sit by fireplace sipping this beer on a cold winter’s night, starring into the flames. overly complexity, but smooth and balanced and soft on the palate. Little vanilla and wood spice too.

RBESG pt 1. Craft Clapham. Very hazy deep amber beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is airy and semi dry. Mild fine carbonation. Mildly sweet malts. Smoky TCP whisky but not overwhelming. Light spice. Well integrated tangy dried fruits. Spice increases before the dry airy finish. Mild spice linger.

Bottle at RBESG 2014. It pours cloudy deep red-brown with a small beige head. The nose is earthy, Smokey, TCP smoke, earth, wood and big laphroaig character. The taste is bitter, earthy, medicinal, mild acidity, earth, peat, wood, candied peel and big laphoaig with a dry, warming finish. Medium+body and fine carbonation. Great for a peat-head like myself...
