Bottle from Bier Koning. Came in black paper - with a label saying ’matured on oak whiskey barrels’ - no mention of Cognac! Also abv is 9.0%. Opaque brown beer with a small tan head. Softish dry palate, a little carbonation. Rich malt - creamy with bitter toffee. Just a light hint of vanilla oak whiskey. Mildy bitter aftertaste. Alright but was hoping for something more barrely!

Bottle, bought @ the brewery. Dark brown color. Raisin and whisky notes in the aroma. Raisinny sweet flavor with soft oak and whisky notes. Hints of laurel and alcohol. Powerful, yet refined, but maybe a bit too thin.
