Bottle from Björn, thanks. Bottle comes in a brown bag, perfect for american winos and litle strange. Thin grey lace. Brown color. There is much raw tobaco in the aroma and also some in the taste. There is also sweet caramell and a god bitterness in the taste.

Sampled from a large brown bottle this beer poured a murky dark brown color with a medium sized foamy tan head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was marvelously rich and complex mixing cherry cola, port wine, molasses, sugar and plums. The flavor was plum, raisin, cherry, strong molasses, cherry pits and faint notes of cocoa and oak. The finish was long with lingering dark fruits and molasses. Fairly full bodied. Excellent.

Bottled. Cloudy dark brown, rich head. Caramelly and full bodied . Warming caramel and hay, leaning more towards an English strong ale than a Belgian ale. Spicy hay bitterness.

Botella. Nice deep dark brown red colour with a beige head. Sweet pleasant dark malty and dark fruity aroma with wood, alcohol and chocolate. Good sticky mouthfeel. Flavour is quite sweet with quite dark close to roasty maltiness, dark fruit, alcohol, spices, wood and caramel. Sweet vinious brew.

Draught at Monk’s Cafe. Very fruit, sort of like a Belgian barleywine, with dark fruit notes of dates, fig, plum, and touches of English-style molasses and sweet malt. A bit one dimensional, but pretty nice.

Number 1400 WooWhoo!! Popped the cap on this and had a small gusher. Lots of carbonation here I guess. Pouerd a deep chestnut brown with a thick khaki head. Took a while for the head to dissapate to a drinkable level. The head laced the sides during the whole drink. The nose is toffee sweet with dark fruits, malts, vanilla, brown sugar and caramel. Flavor is not overly sweet. Hints of vanilla, dark fruits and nuts with a nice alcohol warming and a small spice bite on the tounge. Mouthfeel is slick and finishes with the spice lingering around while warming my belly.

Bottle. Nice amber brown pour. HUGE dark tan foamy head. TONS of sediment in the glass. Brown sugar and vanilla bean aroma. Flavor is roasted nuts, a hint of vanilla and caramel, with a slight alcoholic funk. Not sure what it is, its slightly off for me, but this actually works okay here. Overall, decent!
