dark hazy brown in appearance, creamy head, yeasty and barley aroma. bittersweet, with pleasant sweetish finish. an excellent beer.

February 2013. Bottle. Floral and fruity aromas. Amber color with a tan head. Brown sugar and bread flavors. Sweet finish.

Aroma of floral Apperence of cloudy amber. Taste of toffee and Caramel. And it’s a good one i like it alot!

From a 50 cl bottle shared at Ryan. Pours a cloudy brown with a massively thick off white creamy head. Malty aroma. Flavors of toffee, dark cherries, and caramel, with some smoky notes. Nice.

Bottle at Ray’s. Pours a cleanish deep amber with off white head and lace. Notes of roasted malts, peanut shells, ash tray, caramel.

Heel donkerbruin en een mooie schuimlaag. Aroma van zoete chocolademelk en gebrande mout. Smaakt donker gebrand met koffie en chocoladetonen. Zacht van smaak in het begin maar met een wat peperige afdronk. Goed te drinken.

Absolutely wonderful beer. outscored westy 12 and speedway stout in a taste off.

330ml bottle (Janoinen Lohi, Helsinki, Kalakierros 2013)
Very meaty buillon aroma, a touch yeasty. Lovely roasted taste, toasty, but not burnt. Superbly mellow, but not lacking in flavour or character. These guys are quickly becoming belgium’s best brewers. Full palate, smooth and so full. No sign of 9%. Stonking brune. So mellow, so full, so good. Korenaar really are becoming Belgium’s best brewery.

Bottle 33 cl, BBE 10/2014. Pours ruby dark brown in color with a creamy beige head. Overripe wild strawberries in aroma. As you get settled by that some sweet dark syrup and brown sugar takes charge. Sweet sugary water in taste. A bit of a disappointment. An odd one. Later on some more bready malty notes appears as well in aroma as in taste. Slightly vinous aftertaste.
