pivnizub (8853) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - MAY 11, 2014
Bouteille: Deep ruby-amber coloured, floaties visible, stable off-white foamy layer; toasted malt, cacao-powder and dried fruits and caramel in the robust and complex nose; pretty robust sweet flavour with a - still balancing - bitterness, full bodied and soft; lingering and a bit warming, too, chocolatey and caramelly-fruity finish. Surprise, surprise! A very flavoursome brew…

20140411 bomber from somewhere, no idea when...I’ve had it for a while. Yeah I probably sat onthis one too long. Band-aidiness caught up and it’s ended up explosive, kind of thin, Well, at first it reeks of sour cherry goodness, but it falls apart quickly. No fault of the beer here, I can imagine it was 100% better a couple years ago, and I’m pretty confident I’ve had it before so I’ll rate without shame.

sarauckelman (182) - Heidelberg, Baden-Württemberg, GERMANY - APR 6, 2014
Cloudy dark brown, full of particulate matter. Thick tan head. Aroma is sweet, with a bit of burnt nuts. The taste is not very sweet, like molasses with the sweetness replaced with malt. Mouthfeel is not too sticky, a bit sharp on the end.

MonsterMagnet (198) - NETHERLANDS - APR 4, 2014
UPDATED: APR 5, 2014 Bottle. Pours dark brown with a tan head. Aroma: rye, nuts, cheese, overripe cherries, roast. Taste: raisins, bread, wood, brown sugar, vanilla, cherries, spices. Lots going on. Medium bitter and sweet, slight sour. Full bodied, long warming finish. Different, excellent dessert or winter beer (but suits april just as well ;-)
