Peu de corps, dommage... Le nez est fumé, comme une rauchbier, un fond caramélisé genre barley wine. On retrouve la caramélisation dans l’attaque, la longueur est très fumée. Le tout demeure très aqueux. Un peu bof.

Lore (2094) - Budapest, HUNGARY - DEC 27, 2015
dark brown colour with ruby notes, medium sized creamy, long lasting beige head; extremely complex aroma of raisin, dried plum, wallnut, biscuit notes, chocolate, oak barrel and hints of herbal liqueur; taste is similarly complex with dried fruits, syrupy notes, liqueur, some chocolate, roastedness, wallnut cake and hints of capuccino; the aftertaste is equally dominated by syrupy sweetness and roasted bitternes; marvellous ’beer’

0,33l bottle at Känguru pub. BB 05/2017. Dark brown colour, small off white head. Smells of licorice, spices, light ly sour, some caramel, light bitter chocolate, dried fruits, raisins, decent smell. Full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. Tastes malty sweet, lightly sour, caramel, licorice, dried fruits, spices, raisins. Finishes bitter sweet and quite heavy with notes of dried fruits. Okish, not so much my thing, rather heavy.

Right out of the bottle I get a huge sweet cherry blast from this dark cherry coloured ale. A thick body juxtaposed against a zippy carbonation makes for an engaging mouthfeel. Notes of vanilla, cherry, rum cake, toffee, coconut, chocolate and some rye bread contribute to the taste of this alcohol-hiding beast of a brew. As delicious as it gets, this sipper leaves a fine sweetish cherry aftertaste and could keep me going all Winter.
