Almost black beer with a lasting creamy tan head, aroma is roasty, burnt and licorice like. Taste is almost stout like being full of burnt candi sugar with a roasted edge.

Appearance is dark amber with firm beige head. Nose incredible malty and sweet. Taste and everlasting palate is sweet with alcohol touch but malty and warm. Soft, smooth and fruity. One of the favourites.

Bottle from Willems. It pours very dark brown almost black with a creamy beige head. Dark malty and vinous aroma. Ripe fruit and berries. Light cocoa and roasted nuts. Quite dry mouthfeel. Nutty and caramel fudge flavor. Light yeasty. Dark berries and hint of ripe fruit. Almost barley wine like. Nice sipper.

Zeer donkerbruin bijna zwart bier met beige schuimkraag. Geur: geroosterde mout, bitterig, koffie, zoetig. Smaak: bitter, kruidig, koffie, vleugje zoetig. Weinig koolzuurprikkel. Medium volmondig. Afdronk: kalisse, bitterig.

Bottle from Sip in Tallinn. BB 01.2018. Pours brownish copper with thick beige head. The aromaís roasted malts and caramel, dark dried and smoked fruits, chocolate, earthy-herby hops, somewhat spicy. Tastes sweet upfront with bitterish continuation. Caramelly, chocolaty, earthy-herby-spicy, kinda muddy flavour. Lightist medium body, dryish on the palate and in finish. Soft mouthfeel. Earthy bitterness. Near nonexistent carbonation. The alcohol shows as rather nice warmth in the throat but overall itís hidden behind the wall of sweetness. Unique - donít think Iíve had a BS like this before. Iím not a big fan though, just doesnít tickle me.

330ml bottle (thanks martjoobolut). Clear dark mahogany color. Medium size, yellow-beige head, stays. Sweet, coffee, toffee, caramel in aroma. Prunes, sweet, alcohol, some cherries in taste. Prunes and sweet in aftertaste. Soft fizzy mouthfeel. Alcoholic burn in throat, but it doesnít disturb me. Nice one.

suurjuust (2585) - ESTONIA - MAR 29, 2016
Bottle. Dark brown beer, medium tan head. Nose is slightly metallic, belgian yeast, dried fruit, chocolate notes, coffee bitterness. Flavor is dark fruits, hops, dark chocolate and coffee, surprising hop bitterness in the finish with something nutty and dry. Lingering dry aftertaste. Hoppier and drier than exptected, also the coffee bitterness was pretty nice.

thirstyrabbit (1657) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - MAR 29, 2016
Bottle. Dark brown body, medium tall creamy head, some floating sediment. Aroma has dark caramel with herbal hoppiness. Sweet caramelly taste with dried fruits, dark chocolate covered prunes, unsweet black coffee and some yeast. Notable hoppiness for a dark Belgian - the hops provide more coffee-type of sourness than dry bitterness. Slightly sourish and notably hoppy finish. Quite interesting and not very typical BSA from Belgium.
