Almost black beer with a lasting creamy tan head, aroma is roasty, burnt and licorice like. Taste is almost stout like being full of burnt candi sugar with a roasted edge.

UPDATED: APR 5, 2014 Bottle. Pours dark brown with a tan head. Aroma: rye, nuts, cheese, overripe cherries, roast. Taste: raisins, bread, wood, brown sugar, vanilla, cherries, spices. Lots going on. Medium bitter and sweet, slight sour. Full bodied, long warming finish. Different, excellent dessert or winter beer (but suits april just as well ;-)

20140411 bomber from somewhere, no idea when...I’ve had it for a while. Yeah I probably sat onthis one too long. Band-aidiness caught up and it’s ended up explosive, kind of thin, Well, at first it reeks of sour cherry goodness, but it falls apart quickly. No fault of the beer here, I can imagine it was 100% better a couple years ago, and I’m pretty confident I’ve had it before so I’ll rate without shame.

Deep dark dubbel aroma, some smoke, smells like a rye beer but it itsn’t. Sweet, a little sour and very warming. Keeps going forever. Sticky and warming finish that lasts a very long time.

Ruikt zoetig, mout, kers, stroop. Smaakt lekker vol, vanille, mout, drop. Iets alcohol. Weer een goeie van deze brouwerij.

Cloudy dark brown, full of particulate matter. Thick tan head. Aroma is sweet, with a bit of burnt nuts. The taste is not very sweet, like molasses with the sweetness replaced with malt. Mouthfeel is not too sticky, a bit sharp on the end.

Colour: dark brown, coffee. Beige head. Nose: roasted malts, nutty, dark fruits, chocolate, leathery. Flavours: espresso-like bitterness, licorice, spices. Hazelnut. Finish: long, bitter, like a strong after dinner coffee. Verdict: exceptional beer, but too bitter for my taste. It reminded me too much of stout.
