Tap into a wineglass showing chocolate brown with a finger of clean white malt. The nose shows smoke. Not much else. The palate is moderately carbonated and medium bodied. Moderate bitterness constantly reappears in a background with light smokiness.

Donkerbruin, troebel met dikke beige kraag. Wat drijvende gist aanwezig. Aroma is fruitig: vijgen, bosbessen, druiven. Verder vanille, chocolade, koffie, toffee, alcohol. Behoorlijk zoet, licht bitter en droog op de nasmaak. Zacht en volle body. Erg lekker!

33cl bottle, served in snifter glass. Poured a murky chocolate dark brown with a two finger tan head. Aroma: Chocolate, coffee, vanilla, alcohol, raisins, dark fruit. Taste: Dark chocolate, roasted espresso beans, burnt toffee, vanilla, dark fruit, dates, salty licorice, spice, nuts, figs, raisins, currant bread, caramel, plums. Wonderful creamy and malty, yeasty mouthfeel. The taste reminds me slightly of a cross between Rochefort and the Struise Pannepot. A medium to full body with a malty and fruity bittersweet finish. Really enjoyed this amazing brew!
