Pour is dark brown with red edges and a tight tan head. Nose is big, dark fruits, dry fig, dark berries and dry bakers chocolate. Taste is even sweeter, tons of berry and dry fig, dry malt and hints of bitter chocolate. Full bodied and soft carbonation and a silk oily feel.

Ölföreningen 2014. Smak och doft av karamall, humle, jäst, malt och torkad frukt. Stor sötma, lätt beska. Mer en barley wine i smaken än Imperial stout. Men det är troligtvis något fel på denna flaska, eller?

Dark brown with nearly no head. Spices, wood, bitter lemon zest, salt liquorice, burnt caramel, some alcohol, a bit of smoke towards the dry finish. Medium body. A little thin towards the end although the finish is quite long.

A gusher. Murky brown with a large beige head and lots of floaties. Spicy and musty belgian yeast in the aroma, with brandy, christmas fruit cake and some cheesy vegemite. The taste is exactly as suggested by the aromas, along with caramel. Quite heavy in body with a spiciness on the tongue. Good, if a little atypical, belgian strong dark ale.

Bottle from Craft Wine Store 161114. Gushed out of the bottle when opened big thick beer in the mouth with spiced fruit in the aroma. Really good beer bit probably not the best beer to have on such a hot day.

Bottle shared by Albatross, thanks JFM! Pours a medium dark brown with a thin beige head that doesn’t leave too much lacing. Nose is of peat and smoke, not subtle at all. Taste is of nuts, smoke and peat again. Body is medium and carbonation low to medium. Overall a nice smoked beer, I didn’t expect as much!

Bottle. Almost black with big creamy beige head. Big spicy yeast, whisky, vanilla and chocolate creamy pudding, sugared fruits, strawberry, roasted malts with a touch of smoke, chocolate chip cookies. Sweet with a slight tart touch and light bitter hoppy finish. Full bodied with great creamy feel. Wow, really good Belgian ale here. Love it.

330ml bottle. Slightly cloudy, russet colour with huge, frothy, fully lasting, moderately lacing, beige head. Malty aroma has nuttily notes, peanut, hints of chocolate, yeasty fruity notes of red berries, plum, fig, dried fruit, raisin, a spicy yeasty touch. Taste is sweet malty, milk chocolately and fruity, notes of plum, fig, raisin, a touch of honey and nuts. Slightly too sweet, but completely without artificial touch, perfectly clean, super-appetizingly.
