Dark reddish brown, almost opaque, very small tan head. Nose of ripe fruits, dark malts, and chocolate. Taste to match nose ... made me thing of a St. Bernardus 12. Sweet fruits linger in the finish. Lovely with choucroute.

Bottled, 330ml at Cafe Manuscript, Ostend, West Flanders, Belgium. V Dark Brown with cream head. There is a sweet, fruity, chocolate flavour up front with this, strawberry hints along with a vanilla extract type character. Liquorice then comes through and a sweet finish. Decent.

pours unclear light brown, bright red tint, reviving beige head, nice lacing. tons of grapes, welch’s grape juice *TM, red maltiness - borderline rotten; brown sugar and butter, perfumey booze, hint of smoke, salt. almost foamy carbonation, light to medium body, semi-sweet, woodsy and fruity-spicy finish. a very fruity red belgian strong ale. suffering from its age, but it is a quite unique pseudo belgian offering.

Brown, with a thin tan head. Aroma is plummy, and taste is the same. Very brown rich tasting beer, with no discernible barrel character (is it from a barrel?). Thanks, Dan! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
