Number 1400 WooWhoo!! Popped the cap on this and had a small gusher. Lots of carbonation here I guess. Pouerd a deep chestnut brown with a thick khaki head. Took a while for the head to dissapate to a drinkable level. The head laced the sides during the whole drink. The nose is toffee sweet with dark fruits, malts, vanilla, brown sugar and caramel. Flavor is not overly sweet. Hints of vanilla, dark fruits and nuts with a nice alcohol warming and a small spice bite on the tounge. Mouthfeel is slick and finishes with the spice lingering around while warming my belly.

Bottle sample at a tasting at kerenmk’s place. Thanks Stas. Dark brown with a big bubbly beige head. Aroma of malt, caramel, yeast, some roast, some dark fruits and a bit of chocolate. Sweet flavor, malty, with chocolate, roast, some dark fruits, caramel and a drier finish, a bit smoky. Medium-bodied, pretty strong carbonation.

Bottle that has been stored a year at home. Pours very dark with a thick light brown head. Smells a lot of roasted malt and coffee. Medium carbonation, low bitterness. A lot of taste.

Bottle @ #h-J14, 20/06/14. Pours a dark wooden brown with a beige head. Aroma is quite a bit of chocolate, yeast, caramel. Dark fruit and dark maltiness. Dark malty bread. Taste is quite sweet with chocolate, cinnamon, spiciness. Dark maltiness of the bready kind. Light sour and roast. Medium with decent carbonation. This brewery just knows how to brew great beer.

Bottle (330 ml). Dark brown with a huge mostly lasting frothy beige head and some lacing. Aroma is of toffee, some spiciness, hints of dark fruits and Belgian yeast. Taste is slightly sweet and slightly/moderately spicy with dark fruits (plums), yeast and cereals. Medium body. Moderate carbonation. Light lingering spicy finish. Different than most of the Belgian Strong Ale, but that’s not necessarely a bad thing. Quite tasty. A tad too spicy for my liking, but the balance isn’t bad.
