Poured from 660ml, split with SamGamgee at the bar, Moeder Lambic. Hazy gold with a faint orange hue. Nose is mild citrus with a bit of banana, bubblegum. Bitter taste with a touch of sweetness, works well.

Dorado limpio y espuma blanca compacta.

@Echec & Malt festival - cloudy orange beer with a little foam; aroma of berries and strawberries, hoppy with notes of cream; velevty palate, a good malt backbone, well-hidden alcohol; fair but not overwhelming bitterness, very fruity hoppy finish, creamy - accurate and impressive

Laranja escura, floculos suspensos, espuma bege, média duração. Aroma de lúpulo adocicado, mas ao final tinha um algo diferente, que não soube identificar, negativamente. Aftertaste de amargor persistente.

On tap @ Zythos treviso 2015. Ambrata, opalescente, schiuma bianca finissima persistente. Aroma intenso, agrumato, pompelmo rosa, resina, aghi di pino, caramello e malto. Molto amara, secca, maltata e leggermente acidula. Difficile capire come possa essere così equilibrata nonostante l’amaro aggressivo, risulta beverina, piena, ancorché spigolosa. Calda, Armonica

Bottle from at Cotteridge Wines; hazy golden yellow pour with a massive bubbly off white head, lemon and light spice aroma with a hint of phenols, taste has citrus, some bitter grapefruit, a hint of pine, yeast it the profile, a pleasant hoppy number.

22 ounce bottle, label says best before end JULI2015. Served in a tulip, the beer pours a hazy golden orange color with about an inch and a half off-white head that stayed around for a very long time. There’s also a good amount of lacing. Aroma is nice, the brew smells mostly like citrusy (tropical fruit, grapefruit, citrus peel) hops, and also some bready malt and floral/herbalness. I think the taste is similar to the aroma, but there’s also the addition of some peppery spice, peaches, Belgian yeast and some hay/straw. The bitterness really kicks in after a while, it has a nice bitter and fruity overall flavor. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it’s coating and a bit creamy with a good amount of carbonation. I liked this brew, it’s definitely worth picking up! $13.99 a bottle.

Keg at the Grove Inn, Huddersfield. Hazy orange shade. Short white head, bit of lace. Aroma is fruity with citrus and apricot. Kind of a herbal, minty profile too. Taste has a sweetness and the Belgian lineage is clear. Jammy fruits, more apricot, peach. Not a whole lot of bitterness. I’m often bemoaning that IPAs aren’t fruity enough but I think this goes too far in the other direction!
