Intensively hopped, disturbingly good.

Bottle from Dranken Geers, Oostakker, nr Gent, Belgium consumed outside ’Frank’ (camper) at Shrewsbury Folk Festival, Saturday 24th August 2013 Hazy dark gold, with a very hoppy up front citrussy nose. Great bittersweetness, hoppy burps aplenty. Soft in the mouth, juicy with plenty of fresh citrus. Great beer. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov16 3.9

Bottle from Beershop De Molen, @home. Pours hazy dark blonde with a medium creamy white head. Just as the label promises, this beer intensively hopped. The first thing you smell and taste is the citrus hops, which also lingers long after the finish. This is a very bitter beer, throughout the entire experience. After a while, however, a little fringe of sweet appears in the background. As an IPA enthousiast I was a little dissapointed, although I could’ve figured out what this would taste like by reading the label. A beer worth trying, but not something I’d drink on a regular basis.

Hazy amber coloured beer with small white head and few carbonation. Hopped floral aroma. Full sprakling palate. Finish is strong hopped bitter and dry. Nice, good for one on an evening.

Enjoyed at the 4de Gents Bierfestival, 2013. The 33cl bottle pours with an opaque deep copper body that has thin gold edges and supports a light tan head of foam. The aroma offers up semi thick sweet malts mixing with citrus notes and some lime peel as well as pleasing malt sweetened dank onion and earthy tea. Yes. I like this hop combination. The taste hits with an enjoyable mix of tangerine and other various citrus notes and earthy tea too. This begins to smooth out to midway where a bit of hop onion dankness is noticed before the citrus hops and some resiny pine surge forward and into the finish. Good stuff. If you have a hop “itch” this will scratch it.

Amber orange coloured beer. A good sized and holding head that sticks good to the glass. Nice mixture of grass, grapefruit, caramel and pine. A very nice beer, a surprise for sure, and a good one to start my vacation with.

Shared a bottle with lachneger. Amberkleurig bier, zeer troebel met mooie witte schuimkraag. Ruikt fruitig, meloen, mango. Heerlijk bitter, licht zurig. Mooi mondgevoel met een nasmaak die blijft hangen in de keel.

Gents Bierfestival 2013. Dark amber body. Very fruity aroma. Verry bitter. A little too hoppy for me. **

Lovely fruity hop aroma, sweet malts behind. Hazy gold, persistent head. Fresh hops, some gingery spiciness. Smooth palate. Good balance, Some toffee sweetness. Perfumey hops return for the finish.
