Tap @ ZBF 2013.
Pours muddy pale amber with a large, staying, creamy, white head. Aroma has lemons, peach, soft yeast, doughy malts. Low carbonation, fat and creamy mouthfeel. Flavour starts sweet and malty. Then turns to pine, peach, grapefruit. A bit of yeast that detracts a little. Extremely long, lingering bitter finish. Yum.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draught Good white head over hazed orange beer; good lace. Citrus (orange, grapefruit), and other exotic, acidic fruit, drenched in hops. Very bitter, citrus, even quinine, grapefruitpeel, or pomegranatepeels. Medium bodied, hopoilslick. Good, if not really very complex DIPA. Might benefit from a bit more refinement, becoming more delicate-flowery.

Bottle. Hazy gold with a large rocky foam but none of the expected gushing. Aromas are biscuit and caramel with floral notes and low woody pine. Melon, pineapple and white grape with yeast. Some traces of mint. Flavours are white grape with oak barrel and dry yeast. Grapefruit bitterness with peppery aspects and spicy, herbal notes. Some underlying biscuit malts with a dry finish. Very nice. Thanks to Bombardier for the bottle.

Enjoyed at the 4de Gents Bierfestival, 2013.
The 33cl bottle pours with an opaque deep copper body that has thin gold edges and supports a light tan head of foam. The aroma offers up semi thick sweet malts mixing with citrus notes and some lime peel as well as pleasing malt sweetened dank onion and earthy tea. Yes. I like this hop combination. The taste hits with an enjoyable mix of tangerine and other various citrus notes and earthy tea too. This begins to smooth out to midway where a bit of hop onion dankness is noticed before the citrus hops and some resiny pine surge forward and into the finish. Good stuff. If you have a hop “itch” this will scratch it.
