Wonderful triple. Interesting flavor. Very different compared to others in the style. A murky orange beer with modest carbonation. The flavor is bold malt sweetness, some overripe fruit, peppery yeast and licorice. A warming beer to drink slowly on a cold day. Still not too sweet and not boozy. Recommended!

Deze oranje kleurige tripel smaakt heel anders dan de doorsnee tripel. Smaak is wat zurig, citus en wat fruit. Zoals de meeste bieren van de De Dochter van de Korenaar vind ik deze ook weer erg geslaagd.

Refreshing citrusy aroma. The taste is citrusy and peppery. Dry and slightly bitter finish. Decent but not more.

Hazy blond/yellow colour, white foam. Sweet taste with sour hints, bitter finish. Malty aroma with hints of tropical fruit. Good but the balance isn’t very good.

Smaak is sinaasappel en honing en voelt iets zwaar aan als likeur. Nasmaak is kort met weinig finesse, alsof een vuig zuurtje op de tong wordt gedropt. Het gaat toch iets vervelen op den duur. Aroma is diezelfde zoetigheid, bijna muf-zoet. Kraag is niet veel met wat gele glans op oranje.

Bottle 330 ml at home, into a tulip glass, ABV 8.5% Deep orange colour on the body, quite hazt, with a small but thick white head sitting on top. Good retention, lots of lacing left around the glass. Aroma of sweet malts, sugars, peaches. Tastes sweet and boozy, quite malty, some fruity notes rising under the alcohol. I don’t get any of the other grains, well, maybe the wheat a bit. Medium body, good carbonation and nice dryness on the palate. Overall good tripel, I can’t say I didn’t enjoy the first sipsbut after a while it becomes a bit boring.

Bomber from Bieropholie, shared, served cool in a tulip glass. Lots of citrus zest, a little funk, some nice sweet honey malt, tropical fruits, a little rye character, spiciness, interesting. Medium body, fairly restrained carbonation. Citrus peel, lots if rich maltiness, honey, sweet, a little spiciness, a bit of diacetyl (I think), a bit of a different take on a tripel; a little sweet with gentle bitterness and a quite malty and lemony finish. Not bad.

UPDATED: JUL 15, 2014 Deep aroma of malts, bready grains, ripe fruits such as orange and banana, rye, more rye, yeast, some spices. Flavour is yeasty, ripe fruits, rye, sweetish, with a little bitterness in the aftertaste. Quite full-bodied. Interesting brew.

Poured at room temperature. Golden beer with a rich white head. Sweet honey, caramel scents. Taste is honey with a light, fizzy carbonation, leaving the tongue tingling. Caramel and bready notes are present, as well as banana. The aftertaste is also sweet and a little heavy with alcohol. It’s somewhat like a cross-over between a triple and a barley wine. Quite enjoyable, I’d say.
