Refreshing citrusy aroma. The taste is citrusy and peppery. Dry and slightly bitter finish. Decent but not more.

Slight/medium aroma of malts, caramel, Belgian yeast, orange and spices.

Turbid amber/orange beer with a slight/medium off-white head.

Medium sweet with malts, caramel, Belgian yeast, orange and spices.

This beer is rather intense, complex and balanced. The aroma could have been intenser however and the flavour could have been more unique.

Helder donker oranje/amberkleurig bier met mooie witte schuimkraag. Aroma: fruitig, kruidig.

Donker geel bier, beetje troebel. Schuim blijft redelijk staan. weinig aroma. Smaak is fruitig en enigszins bitter. De nasmaak blijft lekker hangen.

Rating #1146, flaske fra The Bottle Shop i Brügge

Bottle from Sip in Tallinn. BB 01.2018. Pours hazy darkish amber-orange with good off-white head. The aroma’s grainy and savoury (recalling some gravy), somewhat spicy, the peachy fruitiness in the background, with apple peel and unripe banana. Some alcohol shining through later on. Tastes grainy sweet with herbal bitterness continuation. Flavour follows the aroma. Dry - even hay - on the palate, mild carbonation. One some level it’s strangely refreshing (maybe I’m just thirsty). It ain’t bad but it’s not among the better Strong Belgians I’ve had.

F: very big, white, good retention. C: hazy with debris from the bottom of the bottle, dirty golden, opaque. A: grainy, yeast, fruity, apricots, banana, light dust, molasses, apples, honey, light straw, caramel, pineapple. T: malty, caramel, fruity, some earthy/grassy/floral bitterness, apples peels, orange peels, pineapple, medium body, lively carbonation, interesting and good, more bitter than I expected but I appreciate this, 0,33l bottle from Beer Mania in Brussels.
