Appears a cloudy deep honey color with a small off-white head. The smell is peat, wood and smoke. Complex and interesting...sweet malt and fruit with a slight sourness. Taste is some sourness, fruit then it dries out followed by smoke both of which are subtle. Some grapefruit on the end as it finishes dry. Light/medium body with active, fine carbonation.

75cl bottle at home. Hazy orange with white flocks and a full off-white head. Medium body with lively carbonation. Very sour with some sweet and bitter tones. Citrus, vinegar, herbs and some spices. A complex sour experience, which was pretty good.

Bottle from Dranken Geers, Oostaker nr Gent, Belgium, consumed at home Sunday 5th January 2014 Maybe I wasn’t really ready for a sour, mmhhh... not sure, one thing is for sure I struggled with this, this evening and had to cap the remainder of this with one of those wine air pump caps. I got a lot of thrusty rhubarb tart sourness at first, christ this is zappy, it certainly is a very good lambic type beer. Maybe I should have waited and then shared it with someone. Fruity with the rhubarb showing again and maybe some bitter fruit skins, it is really acid. It is good and I will rate it as such, just not the right beer for me today. A7 A4 T7 P3 Ov14 3.5

Bottle from Pauwels. Orange colour, gusher, off white head. Aroma is vinegar sour. Taste is pretty sour, pickled onions, balsamic vinegar. Sharp. Tough to get past that. Interesting, but not sure I like it so much. Want to try again some time to give it another chance.

Orange amber colour, a lot of white foam. Complex aroma, fruity. Sour taste with notes of oak and white wine. Nice beer.

JulienHuxley (5578) - Trois-Rivières, Quebec, CANADA - DEC 26, 2013
750 ml bottle. Clear dark gold pour with thin white head. Aroma is very intense, quite pungent acetic aromas, oak, cherries, cheesy notes, funky. Strong enough to burn the nostrils a bit. Taste is very sour, acetic, very hot acidity, quite a bit of oak. Palate is bone dry, light-med carbonation. Drinkable, but not very pleasurable, way too acetic.

660ml bottle. Starts to pour out as soon as the crown is cracked. Pours an opaque and hazy yellowy orange with some pig skin pink with a large, white head. Aroma is sour, lightly vinegary, quite a bit of bright red fruits and cherry. Some cherry, balsamico and caramel. Taste is sour as well. Balsamic vinegar, cherry, apple skin. All the good stuff. Fairly medium with relatively high carbonation. Just superbly drinkable and magnificent.

Oranje kleur met een volle kraag. Ruikt zuur met iets gerookt. Smaakt erg zuur. Niet mijn ding.
