Bottle at Max’s. Clear chestnut color, medium white head that settles quickly and leaves little lacing. Aroma of moldy dates. Taste begins with dark fruits, turns sour and dry, bitter/smoky edge, but subtle. Complex and interesting.

Bottle at a Chriso tasting, London - thanks to Bruce for this bottle. Pours hazy gold with a frothy, white head. Big tangy aroma, some peach. Medium sweet flavor, fairly sweaty and funky, with a bit of overripe orange. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Medium sweet finish with some rindy citrus bitterness, mellow sourness, sweat, funk, soft pale malts. Very nice.
