3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: MAR 5, 2010 Tap at Max’s for the rare and obscure. Pours a hazy blond and a thin lasting white head. Aroma is spritzy Belgian yeast, doughy but gets into some vegetal DMS hints as well- ok pils breadiness and grassy hops. Flavor is a bit more fruity pear and apricot- more grassy herbal hops, phenolic Belgian yeast- light clove pepper and hints of vanilla- doughy beady malts, but there is still hints of DMS in the end- still finishes relatively clean and dry which is nice.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle at the Diamond. Pale golden pour with a thin head. Nice yeasty nose. There is a touch of light fruitiness, apricot and a soft berryish note as well. A very light bready pale malt flavour. Fairly herbal with a little bit of spice on the back. The hoppiness is pretty nice. Light minerally character with a prominent noble hoppiness. It works quite well. Warming brings out a touch of light zesty citrus. Dry palate. Solid brew really.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle at The Diamond: Hazy golden pour with a dense thick white head. Nice yeasty aroma- lots of fruity character- mild soft berryish notes and dry phenolics. Creamy body with soft carbonation. Lots of yeast character in the flavor as well- fruity yeast character meshes with minerally phenolics. There’s a touch of pale bready character in the background. It gets nice and bitter on the back with peppery grassy noble notes. Simple but it has a solid profile. A nice session.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Tap at The Palm Tavern. Poured to a pale golden body with a thin white head. The flavor is light and floral. Very light aroma of pale malts. The palate is thin and falls off the tongue. Very average. I didn’t get any of the characteristic flavors/aromas that others picked up on.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle, 33cl. A golden hazy colour, with some bubbles rising beaitifully. Big white foamy head lacing nicely. Smell of citrus, light yeasty, spicy and grass. The taste is grainy, hoppy, yeasty, a bit fruity with a bitter finish. Very refreshing, with a rather hard taste you wouldn’t expect for a 5,5° beer. Very good artisanal beer to drink, especially in summertime.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottled. An unclear golden beer with a lazing white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of matl, brettanomyces, and citrus fruits. The flavor is sweet matly with notes of brettanomyces and citrus fruits as well as lighter notes of spices and lacto bacteria. Nice, even though the body is thin. Thanks yespr for sharing.
