It poured a hazy golden with a very small white foam. It had a strong sweet smell of honey and fruits. It tasted strong with honey, figs, yeast and some sweetness. Lots of carbonation. Very nice beer!

For a second I though I had died and gone to Yellowstone National Park. Holy shit: never has a beer gushed on me more than this. Upon sitting in my cellar completely still for over a week, I uncapped the beast and was met with what can be best described a a geyser of no less that twelve inches. After the super soaker incident was resolved and five ounces of beer finally made it into my glass, I decided to give her a little sniff: Lots of honey, spice, dough, citrus, flowers, and some mild malt grain. Flavor is moderately astringent, with some honey and heather notes accompanied by graininess, and fruity sugars. Palate is effervescent, medium, and moderately dry. Despite the epic gushing squirt, I thoroughly enjoyed this beer.

Immediately upon popping the cap on this bottle, the liquid rocketed a foot into the air and gushed all over the place without any agitation to the bottle. Considering giving it a 5 on appearance just because it was pretty bad ass, but I’m hoping that doesn’t mean the beer is skunked or ruined somehow. Aroma holds wheat, citrus, honey, some floral hop notes, flour, and a bit of doughy yeast. Flavor is quite grainy, with lots of wheat, along with a definite astringent hop character, especially closer to the finish. Flavor is good, but very unorthodox for a BSA. Palate is pretty light in the body, but not weak, and lingers fairly nicely. Quite an experience tasting this brew; good overall.

Bottle. 11.2 oz. Pours cloudy golden with an incredible, nearly solid white head. Aroma of hay, honey, wheat, hops, and citrus. Medium to full bodied. Smooth, clean mouthfeel. Very light for a Belgian strong, however. Crisp finish. Very good.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 zvikar (1205) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - OCT 10, 2009
Pours hazy honey color with the hugest head I have seen so far, aroma of clove, corn, banana and lemon with some flowery notes, flavors of yeast mainly banana and apple with a really bitter finish for this style, quite complex and spicy. Nice beer.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 DKthe13 (54) - NETHERLANDS - OCT 6, 2009
Tasted on 330ml bottle. Hugh impact on smell, lot’s of aggresive and sweet hops in the smell. The finish is rather very dry and again aggresive. This beer was made to make a point, not to drink it 24/7.

Hazy bronze pour with a lively white head. Aroma is yeasty, bready, with some candi sugar sweetness and a bit of tartness. Flavor is boozey and sweet upfront but evolves into a yeasty, doughy middle and a flutter of bitterness at the end which is fairly dry. Good stuff.

330 ml bottle - huge fluffy white head and fuzzy gold in color; head settles slowly; flowers, dough, yeast, lemons and citrusy hops; lovely texture with sweet hops, lemons and yeasty spice; a little on the thin side and mildly dry; pretty great though as the spice really brings it all together; yummy
