Sep 19, 2007 Bottle. Nose is sourish sweet yeast esters with lots of spice. Huge head, fluffy and well formed, on top of a deep amber beer with active carbonation. Spice and alcohol dominate the opening, folds into a very crisp breadyness. Delicious. Slightly thin, but not enough to take away from the overall impression.

Sep 13, 2007 Cloudy yellow tihe sedement and massive foamy white head. Spicy nose with plenty of cloves. Citrus hops in the spicy body with plenty of yeast and faint black pepper.

Sep 13, 2007 Garrafa. Coloração dourada, levemente turva, com um gigantesco creme, consistente e persistente. Destaco que o creme se formou inclusive dentro da garrafa, após parte da cerveja ser servida. Paladar amargo e seco. Notas cítricas e florais. Lúpulo muito presente. Embora seja amarga em demasia, trata-se de uma cerveja de muita qualidade.

Sep 8, 2007 Pours a cloudy, murky, sediment filled orange with a huge long lasting white head. Nose is kind of faint, but exhibits a cool spiciness as well as some orange peel and citrus. Very full funky creamy mouthfeel with a huge dose of carbonation. Brewfiend hit it right on the head in that it tastes like a citrusy saison. Very nice orange like citrus as well as a huge dose of funky earthy yeast spice and white pepper.

Ok, pours a cloudy gold with a very potent head. Awesome. Smells like spice and sweet cake. Tastes like it smells but is very dry and yeasty. Can taste banana like flavors, but also orange peel and weird funky dry yeast.Tastes like an overexposed photograph of a spicy cake. A very champagne like dry finish. Although its not a heavy or dense, this is a complex and flavorful drink - I think it’s a tad underrated. Well balanced and highly drinkable. De Dolle does it right!
