Arabier is a pure malt beer brewed with flower Nugget-hops from Poperinge. It has the special dry-hopping taste and aroma, so appreciated by beer lovers all over the world. It is one of the two main beers from De Dolle Brouwers available throughout the year. Aging time is limited due to the fact that hop bitterness declines with age. Store arabier cool and dark and serve cool at 10°C.

Heldere gouden kleur met heel veel schuim. Ruikt zoetig, kruiden en beetje honing. Smaakt zoetig, iets bitter en kruiden. Best goed.

0.33L bottle. Pours hazy blonde with a huge, rocky white head that lingers for a long time. Aromas are not all that pleasant: dust/minerals, almost a vomity smell, cooked vegetables, woody. Very mild sweetness with some hints of cereal grain, but then quickly goes to herby hop flavor that gets a bit ascerbic towards the middle-end. Finishes with a mellow herby hop bitterness and some alcohol. Medium-light body with a thin mouthfeel and acttive carbonation. Overall, not the most pleasant beer. Aromas are strange, and hop flavors are very present, and emphasizing aspects of herby, hop flavors that I don’t particularly like.

Bottle. Hazy amber golden body with a big white head. Fruity caramel aroma with heavy spicy yeast notes, raisins, tea leaves. Sweet caramel taste, bread, apricot, lightly boozy, quite a malty finish, with a sticky thick body. Herbs and spices in aftertaste together with malt.

33cl bottle. Clear golden colour with a nice white head. Malts, light spices and some fruity hops in the aroma. Average carbonation and light to medium body. Taste is more bitter than sweet. Overall, a deception I guess. I was expecting much more.

Pours a giant, froth head, cloudy amber-yellow in color. Wheaty, malty aromas with a subtle sourness. Has a very unique, convincing taste. Begins with bready, toasted malts and bitter hops at the same time. While hops turn more present, a vinous sour punch enhances its piny, grassy character, paired with overripe stone fruits, which get coated up by toffeeish, sweet malts, revealing an earthy bread taste during the finish. This brew convices due to its striking interaction between a complex, slick hop bitterness among throughout evolving malts. Both flavors stay on the palate till the very end, without stopping to change their taste. This blend, of two almost opposite flavors, which are going side-by-side in this brew leads to an immense variety of tastes, with hints of fruits, fermented grapes, scorched toast, earth, toffee, rock sugar - changing on the palate at an amazing speed. Finishes with an outstanding malt supported bitterness, which numbes the tongue for quite a time.
