Commercial Description:
Arabier is a pure malt beer brewed with flower Nugget-hops from Poperinge. It has the special dry-hopping taste and aroma, so appreciated by beer lovers all over the world. It is one of the two main beers from De Dolle Brouwers available throughout the year. Aging time is limited due to the fact that hop bitterness declines with age. Store arabier cool and dark and serve cool at 10°C.

Bottle. Lots of CO2, very foamy, slow gusher. Lots of bubble activity in the chalice. Nose-floral and malty. Taste-meaty, spicy, lively CO2, a taste that I can only describe as custard/creamy pudding, some honey, cereal bitterness, and grass. Tastes like a more aggressive version of Duvel. Very, very good.

Titanic white, bubbly head. Intense, strange aroma with so many elements its hard to pinpoint all. Floral, minty, fruity, spicy, pinesol (not necessarily bad), dough, sweet yeast. Flavor is much more subdued considering aroma, but still has very strong belgian qualities including a really nice, honey sweet, fruity, spicy, woody, hop background. Palate is pleasantly dry and bitter with an excellent sweet, woody, spicy aftertaste. Very interesting stuff-worth trying in my opinion. Plus, the bird on the label is the jamminest dude Ive ever seen.

Pours hazy light golden with an effervescent body and a huge foamy off-white head. Aroma of peaches, melons, bubble gum, candied fruits, with a bulk of hoppy notes of citrus and spruce. Taste is herbal, flowery hops with a bit of a soapy resinous quality. The fruity notes present in the aroma stick around in the taste, but are more subdued and mixed with notes of toasted malt and several dimensions of hoppiness. This beer has hop flavors of sour citrus and spruce trees. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a mild hoppy resinous quality and a warming alcohol sensation. Very nice beer and the hop character tastes quite fresh. I’m impressed. I would like to get several of these to age. It will be interesting to see what this beer becomes once the hops have subdued.

Strangely bitter and hoppy for a Belgian beer. Nice spritzy head and efervescence with a pleasantly hoppy flavor.

creamy yeast with strong carbonation. Tasty, honeyish and on sweet side, but carbonation on mouth detracted. Rather one dimensional on yeast, some clove tea spice, some orange citrus, Drinkable

a belgian strong by the De Dolle Brouwers that is lacking in complexity...cloudy, hazy orangish yellow appearance with massive, growing head...aroma and flavor were essentially the same; dominant in yeast, lemon, grass, and honey...some herbal and floral notes...nothing too special here

Clear light amber color with a fizzy white head. Sweet aroma, slightly tart. Moderate sweet citrus and floral hops.
