FrankJohansen (3329), Sabro, Denmark May 2, 2006 Bottle. Cloudy golden colour with a huge moslty lasting rocky head. Aroma and taste of fruits, yeast and spices. Medium to full body. hophead75 (1945), Boonton, New Jersey, USA Apr 30, 2006 12 oz, and it was a major gusher. Took almost 20 minutes to properly pour. Appearance, very cloudy, light brown looks like hazy ice tea. Aroma: somewhat pungent, like Brett, with some fruity phenolic notes. Taste is tart, I think this is past it’s shelf life. Beerdedone (1873), Croydon, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 25, 2006 Updated: Apr 26, 2006Bottled at Issac Newton’s sampled with Stegosaurus. Pours a cloudy orange color with a white head. Aroma of spices, citrus, fruit, yeast, alcohol and sweet malts. Flavor is sweet, fruity, citrus, and a bitter finish. BitchesBrew (710), Berkeley, California, USA Apr 16, 2006 [bottle] Pours a golden, cloudy yellow color. Holds its head very well, leaving some nice puffy clouds. Flavors are yeasty, doughy, with some mild citrus notes. Very easily drinkable- alcohol is present, but not too in your face. Finishes mildly bitter, with floral hops. 5000 (2409), Hardened Liver, Washington, USA Apr 11, 2006 Bottle: Dirty straw, very cloudy, HUGE sudsy white head, fairly nice lacing, vibrant carbonation. Sharp bready aroma, slightly floral, citrus twist, somewhat candyish. Bready start, not as sweet as suggested on the nose, quite malty actually. Body and mouthfeel are moderate. Finishes very doughy. Aroma suggested it being a bit more spiced, but it seemed like a very dull Tripel that was very bready/malty with only a slight hint of citrus sweetness. Still good, but somewhat of a let down after smelling it.
hiphops (280), caldwell, New Jersey, USA Apr 10, 2006 light honey colored huge foamy head. clove honey yeast malty up front with a bitter finish. maybe like an artichoke. kind of lingering orange flavor. this beer was ok. CMUBEERMAN (415), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Apr 6, 2006 Pours a orange gold and has probably one of the most monster pure white heads I’ve ever seen. Aroma is spicey...cloves and coriander, funky yeast and brett, I’ll second the last guy that there is a bunch of pineapple and citrus, hints of bubble gum, and a bit of grassy hops. Flavor is pretty damn good...a bit funky as well. Begins with sweet malt, fruit (some sour grape), and spicey funk. Finishes wit a big funky bitterness from the bret and hops. I can dig this stuff. Honestly, mine might have been infected because I don’t see much mention of brett around here...and we’re talking ginourmous head. Mouthfeel is a bit thick for a light colored belgian...and very dry. I love the de dolle folks. Storm (2685), Amager, Denmark Apr 3, 2006 33 cl bottle. The bottle says 8%. Yeast at the bottom. Light amber colour with a huge head. Aroma of sweetness, spice, orange and pineapple. Very bitter flavour of malt and sweetness that ends up very dry and hints of spices.
