Fragrance: yeast, citrus, fruit, hops, alkohol and wheat. The taste is the same but especially distinct is bitterness and yeast. No, this is not a beer for me, do not like the acrid and soapy bitterness!

Bottle [330ml] at Cambrinus, Bruges. Pours a very cloudy copper-gold with lots of sediment and a huge lasting fluffy white head. Aroma has a good amount of hops, yeast, lots of herbs and some citrus. Flavour of sweet hops, quite herbal, yeasty and citrusy and a decent, short bitter finish. Medium bodied, very carbonated. Quite nice, I enjoyed it very much.

2010 Bottle; Pour is murky golden with a frothy white head courtesy of an over carbonated bottle. The nose is floral hops, lemon zest; The flavor profile is indeed bitter hops out of the gate; a touch of soap, lemon zest, caramel, peaches; This isn’t my favorite dry hopped Belgian, but it clearly feels well crafted.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Vignale (783) - Malmö, SWEDEN - AUG 23, 2011
Ljust bärnstensfärgad, lite grumlig (opast.) med mycket högt skum som långsamt lägger sig. Mycket frukter i doften.

As with all De Dolle beers, this is a ridiculous gusher. Pours at about a 98-2 foam to beer ratio, and that’s not an exaggeration. Doesn’t matter how cold you chill it, it could be a half-frozen slush and still manage a huge mountain of suds. After a requisite waiting/re-pouring period, I am looking at a golden-orange liquid, completely opaque, with a dense, creamy off-white head. Aroma is big on spices, with coriander and clove leading the way. Yeast and light fruity hops as well. Flavor is lightly tart with some apricot, orange peel, and yeast. Solid hoppiness, floral with a light bitterness. Dry palate with a bit of peppery alcohol. Lively carbonation, obviously. A very nice strong golden ale.
4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Benjii (1686) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - AUG 12, 2011
UPDATED: SEP 28, 2011 Pours a cloudy golden colour with a huge pillowy white head. Fruity aroma with Belgian candi sugar and typical yeast qualities. Tastes a little bitter with a foamy mouth-feel. Quite high carbonation. Flavours of candy sugar again, barley, fruity - peppery hops and a little caramel also. Nice lingering fruity, bitter finish. A nice hoppy tripel.

Poured cloudy golden with immense white head and nice lace. Aromas are of yeast and citrus. Taste is yeast, citrus and bitter hops with a long dry finish. Carbonation is intense and the body is medium. Very fizzy in the mouth.
