pineypower (1076), Pine Barrens, New Jersey, USA Jan 31, 2006 Pours out a pale copper color with a decent sized foamy head. Lots of carbonation. Aroma is fruity with some notes of citrus, aroma reminds me of a white beer a bit. Some spice and fruit are present in the taste with a tart citrus finish, a very drinkable refreshing beer. thornecb (1736), Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA Jan 29, 2006 Updated: Nov 23, 2007Poured into a Chimay glass. Foams over the top and continues to produce huge mountains of foam. Aroma of dough, bread and hay. Cloudy gold with health head that leaves thick lacing as it finally recedes. Full body and texture. Nice. xproudfoot (729), Paleolithic, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 27, 2006 Bottle. Pale straw spun to gold with a mutinously large head forming off a slow pour. Spiced green apples are the first note in the aroma. The head really isn’t budging and it’s formed a pretty cloud-marshmallow at the top. It’s being fed by a slow boil of carbonation from the bottom center of the glass. Nice. The aroma also has a faint hint of lemon, grass, rind. The taste holds the promised apples with an alcohol bite, and a fruit mix, slightly biter finish. Sweet tart. Quite quaffable. Sten (288), Westerlo, Belgium Jan 22, 2006 A hazy-orange beer with a big fluffy white head. A hoppy aroma, the taste is a bit fruity and bitter. A very good beer. (Bottle 33cl) BobbyW3363 (154), Birmingham, Alabama, USA Jan 18, 2006 Hazy deep golden color with a large white foamy, creamy head. Clean, very citrusy aroma; somewhat yeasty, too. The flavor is strong and very unique. Tastes quite spiced, mostly bitter though a little sweet, smoky, and very dry, reminiscent of dry champagne. Coriander flavor is prominent and works really well for this unique beer. Well-balanced. Nice rounded smooth mouthfeel with a bitter spiced finish. Excellent Belgian that I will drink again. BeerBlockaid (538), Jacksonville, Florida, USA Jan 14, 2006 Cloudy haze of a yellow pour with a tightly weaved fluffy head leaving some badmon lacing. Bitter and dry taste with some fruits, citrus mainly, yeast are well balanced, and some after roasted hints. well carbed, but not over done. This took a few sips in to warm over me. Very enjoyable. ...... HogTownHarry (3922), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada Jan 14, 2006 Updated: Jan 16, 2006Bottle (330ml). Poured cloudy gold with a massive lasting tightly foamy white head, swirls of yeast string sediment at the bottom. Bitter dry wheat aroma with tart and sweet fruit, lots of yeast, some honey malt character. Taste of bitter sparkling wine, tart apple cider, yeast, with tobacco ashy hop bitterness. Mouthfeel is sharply fizzy, alcohol, astringent, medium body. Easy to drink, great summer beer. madcow75 (425), Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, USA Jan 12, 2006 11.6 oz bottle. Pours a nice light orange with lots of bubbles. Thick and rocky white head that took a long time to diminish. Sweet fruit and candy aroma with a little spice. Apple cider comes to mind. Taste of sour apples. Tobacco and champagne in the finish. A little bite right at the end too. Fairly easy drinking. Seems a little too fruity for me.
