Commercial Description:
Arabier is a pure malt beer brewed with flower Nugget-hops from Poperinge. It has the special dry-hopping taste and aroma, so appreciated by beer lovers all over the world. It is one of the two main beers from De Dolle Brouwers available throughout the year. Aging time is limited due to the fact that hop bitterness declines with age. Store arabier cool and dark and serve cool at 10°C.

A Mes rate: bottle from Quinns.
A regular for me and with good reason. Awesome hops, light creamy sweetness, lovely bready malt and a great dryness. Typical genius from De Dolle.

A Sim rate: Smooth taste but with a slightly bitter aftertaste. Like a standard blonde but much nicer. Full almost thick palate. Big lasting creamy fungal head. Good lacing.

11.6 oz. bottle. Hazy gold pour with MASSIVE off-white merangue-like fluffy head and tons of little floaties. Took forever to get the whole bottle into the glass. Wheaty and tangy aroma with citrus and banana notes and spices. Initial malty sweetness gives way to a very bitter and dry finish. The bitterness hangs around forever. Very fruity with hints of brown sugar. Spiciness lingers on the tip of the tongue. Some presence of warming alcohol.

Slightly hazed and golden. Pours with a huge rocky head and lots of carbonation. Aromas are Figs, lemon, citrus, floral and yeast. Mouthfeel is light and airy with lots of effervescence. Sweet flavor that has citrus and malt notes yet finishing with bitter hops that linger. Lots of hops in this one. Nice retention. Overall a nice Belgian. Perhaps a bit too bitter to rank with my favorites.

1st sip is a huge hop hit. I would almost think this was American except for the noteworthy Belgian fizziness. Remains quite fizzy through the glass. Sweetness starts to arrive mid-glass.

Color is similar to the Bos Keun but is darker and into the red spectrum with a slightly overcarbonated, off-white head. Sourness prevails in the aroma and flavor and obverrides any kind of pleasurable experience. This is not the sourness of a Cantillon or Duchesse, it consumes the rest of the components. Overall, this is sour cognac.

Hazy golden with lasting big white head. Heavy aroma with notes of yeast, spices and hints of flowers. Spicy bitter taste with hints of sweetnes and lasting aftertaste with a bitter/dry finish

Aroma: slightly herbal/hoppy with bubblegum. Appearance: cloudy orange/brown with a huge head that leaves good lacing. Flavour: intial hop, hint of smoke, fruity with some spiritousness. Palate: medium mouthfeel with lingering bitterness.

Very nice battle between the sweet malt base and a heavier-than-expected hoppiness...
