4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: OCT 15, 2005 Tap @ Spuyten Duyvil. Light gold color with lasting white head. Light dried fruit, flowers and malty aroma. Taste is lightly spiced with pepper, citrus and sweet candy. Nice kick to it and really good. Re-rate ’04 33 cl bottle. Pours with a hugh rocky white head. Aroma is dusty with some flavors of fresh dough and alcohol, hops and a very dry finish.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Sampled in a beer tasting at Plan B, Copenhagen. Extremely carbonated palate but definitely not one of the best from the crazy brewers (IMHO)...

Arabier’s color is a cloudy orange, with a most impressive, towering, majestic flowering of foam on top. It noisily crackles as it crumbles down, leaving weavings of lace behind.
Aroma impresses also: heady and vibrant, buzzing with spice, and spritzes of citrus. Loads of malt in the body, but jam-packed with hops above all. Excellent integration. The flavor is dominated by citrus, with a dedicated yeastiness riding throughout. The finish is sweet and brief, but the hoppy zing at the front provided for a very pleasurable experience.

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a golden/orange color with a full off-white rocky head. Well carbonated, with great head retention and nice lace. Aroma is fruity (a hint of cherries), spicy, earthy, tart and somewhat astringent. The taste has a hint of a sweet start, but goes right into tartness and a biting hop finish. Mouthfeel quite bland, with some carbonation and a bite.
A nice looking beer, with an interesting aroma -- but a one-dimensional and not very appealing taste.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
33cl bottle no BBD I poured slowly & carefully, but I still couldn’t even get beer to the bottom of the Duvel lable on my glass, and its a 65cl glass! Massive frothy head, luscious honey blonde color, slight yeast floaties, exuberant bead...but lace is unimpressive. Earthy floral aroma. banana, musty, spice, layers of sweet citrus flowers. Well balanced malt/hop profile, carmel and apparently Nuggets mix together. Solid bitterness, bit of alcohol kick. I like this better than Duvel, more complexity to my tongue, more body, and more hops. Alcoholic finish distracts some.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Does Arabier mean ’’neverending head’’ in Flemish? This beer gives off a pineapple aroma, over a barnyard and pepper scent. The flavor is of citrus. The palate is round, yet dry - with a nice touch of buttered toast.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: AUG 26, 2004 orangy, pineapple nose. some pear & bubblegum. slightly spicy & herbal; pours with a large, foamy head and lively carbonation; spicy, slightly medicinal flavor pretty well balanced up front, dryish finish, heavy yeast; if this was a bit more sweet it would be great, but it’s only nice.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Sweet, heavy butterscotch and vanilla belgian yeast aroma. Brownish gold, terrible label, particulate sediment. Fairly sweet, butterscotchy, nicely hoppy, raisins or prunes. Spicy. Finish coats the tongue. Medium to medium-heavy body.
