COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Arabier is a pure malt beer brewed with flower Nugget-hops from Poperinge. It has the special dry-hopping taste and aroma, so appreciated by beer lovers all over the world. It is one of the two main beers from De Dolle Brouwers available throughout the year. Aging time is limited due to the fact that hop bitterness declines with age. Store arabier cool and dark and serve cool at 10°C.

In 33Cl bottle at Against the Grain. Pours a hazy golden yellow with a lot of head (my bad). Leaves lots of pretty lacing on the glass. Smell is predominantly hops with some pear/apple tones and a bit of honey. Carbonation is quite active in the glass and on your tongue, though not too harsh. Taste is both sweet and bitter. The bitter hopiness is a bit pronounced, a bit like an IPA and has a slightly floral lean. The sweetness is certainly honey and dissipates quickly. A slight bitter aftertaste lingers for a while. Quite drinkable.

4/21/06: 11.2 oz bttl. Pours a hazy, amber-yellow with a huge, frothy, white, fully-lasting head rising like a ice-cream float meniscus... Aromas of heavy yeast, dough, soap and evergreen sap.... Initially lightly sweet flavor with bananas and bubble gum mixed in and a dry med finish... Light-medium body with lively carbonation and a metallic, taco-cornmeal finish... Pretty good, though the finish killed it for me... Much thanks to Will Knight...

Pale/golden color, but cloudy. Deep pale malt aroma with heavy yeast esters and spicy floral notes. Sweet malt flavor with slightly tart finish. Hugely carbonated making for overly bubbly mouthfeel. Good beer.

Hazy golden beer with again a gigantic white head that lasts. Yeasty sweet aroma with a touch of honey, bread, apple and spices. The taste is hoppy with a bitter finish. Alcohol and carbonation are extremely well bamaced.

HUGE head. Beer was poured into an oerbier glass and thick fluffy head extended two inches. Yeasty citrusy aroma. Very hoppy flavor. Bitter finish. Medium body, lacking the mouthfeel so common in Belgians.
