COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Arabier is a pure malt beer brewed with flower Nugget-hops from Poperinge. It has the special dry-hopping taste and aroma, so appreciated by beer lovers all over the world. It is one of the two main beers from De Dolle Brouwers available throughout the year. Aging time is limited due to the fact that hop bitterness declines with age. Store arabier cool and dark and serve cool at 10°C.

Of all De Dolle beers, this must be the most lively; it pours a bright golden color, one finger, under a cloud of foam. The malt aroma is spicey (coriander, mild cloves), with honey undertones, sweet; very interesting. The flavor is sweetish, malty, a bit spicy; the bitterness has been attenuated, and the alcohol increased. It’s a perfectly mature beer, even if it may have lost some hopping.

Golden to amber color. Very nice aroma, with hop, old hops, wood. Great taste, complex, malty, perfectly balanced, with some fruitness, caramel.
I didn’t expect so much, De Dolle is great.

Pale amber colour, clean, creamy head. Classic aroma for these beers, of malt, candy sugar, hop, light wood cask. Dry, bitter and pretty sour; tart, astringent. The palate is as well dry, bitter, astringent, a good digestive.

I just poured this one out in a glass... buthey, never saw a beer foaming so much... The foam is very duvel-like. Hoppy, flowery and spicy smell. Taste is a bit sour, bitter and malty. Flowers and spices in it. Well balanced. Another great dolle-brew. Palate is smooth, lovely smooth.

Oh my, Oh my.... This brewery cant do much wrong can it. Aroma just reminds me of belgium, everything that is good about a beer is here. Grapefruit, peach skins for a little dryness, lychee just because they can. Taste is ah yes, the increadable balance that only such brewers as these can match, increadable mix of flavours and a rival for its brother Oerbier. So head to head I shall challange them, it shall be a contest the world over shall watch, the titans of the balance! Hahaha

Another excellent ale from the unmitigated geniuses at De Dolle. Not quite as complex as Oerbier for me, but still rich and full of flavour. Slightly sweet, but competently so. Lovely.

What a beer. Pours a thick cloudy mud-yellow color that can be likened to the color of plum flesh. The flavors are incredibly dry and incredibly tart and crisp. Flavors of bubble gum, balloon air, lemony leather and apple skins. Not much hop profile at all, but that’s to be expected. A wonderfully done beer once again.

Eccezionale.

UPDATED: AUG 8, 2008 Gorgeous billowing white head several fingers high. De Dolle rocks and so do their labels. The Arabier is sensual and mysterious. Each sip renders new secrets. Dry with hints of smoke. Sheer delight, my appreciation builds each time I open a bottle.

UPDATED: JAN 29, 2012 I don’t think I’ll ever serve another Dolle beer below room temperature... took 10 minutes just to pour a decent glass on this hyperactive beast. Rich gold, the off-white head is mountainous. Strong spice and sour citrus nose, pepper, thick yeast... Wow is that dry and biting. Loads of bitter spice all over the flavor or grapefruit, , though it isn’t acrid like Oude Beersel. Super aggressive, this one makes Mad Bitch look like Gentle Housemaid.

Thick, hazy orange brown with fluffy, cumulus cloud-like head. Aroma of a grassy meadow on a summer afternoon. Initial flavor is citrus, followed by pepper and malt. Nice bitter finish. Definitely worth seeking out.

Pours a hazey orange-tinged golden color with excellent white head. Sweet floral hoppy aroma. A nice hop-sweet balanced strong golden ale with floral hop notes.
