Arabier is a pure malt beer brewed with flower Nugget-hops from Poperinge. It has the special dry-hopping taste and aroma, so appreciated by beer lovers all over the world. It is one of the two main beers from De Dolle Brouwers available throughout the year. Aging time is limited due to the fact that hop bitterness declines with age. Store arabier cool and dark and serve cool at 10°C.

Bottled May 2011, so almost a year old. Pours hazy gold with some chunks and a massive frothy white head that continuously builds in the etched Sam Adams tulip, kind of annoying. It took 15 minutes just to let the head recede and actually get some aroma. It did warm up nicely during that time too though since it was too cold at first. Aroma of citrus, bready malt, herb, fruit, earthy funk. The hops hold up well in the taste, fairly bitter and not oxidized, nice malt body. Medium body, high carbonation.

Bottle shared at home. Clear golden pour with an impossibly tall white head with good retention. Notes of Belgian yeast, bread dough, bitter hops, rye, honey, herbal hops. Medium to light body, high carbonation and a bitter-sweet finish.

Bottle, 330 ml, from Beergium. Shared with JFK10000 and Miro. Pours hazy orange with large white head. Caramel malty, fruity, yeasty, spicy. Sweet with sourish note. Medium bodied, lively carbonation. OK, somehow expected more.

Bottle 0.33l at Gollem Overtoomstraart Amsterdam, The Netherlands. 04.10.2016. Pour it hazy orange color with big white head. Aroma of apples, pears, leather, some vanilla. Taste sweet Belgian yeast present, pinch of sourish in the middle, peach, apricot, some spices on the back, finish with fresh green apple, perfect balanced, full body, creamy, fizzy, long finish. Nice!

Opens with a loud PSSSST and a minute later my glass is filled with white foam and 0.5 cm of clear, golden beer at the bottom. The humongous head is very long-lived and covers the glass in lacings, but I hate having to wait for minutes before I can start to smell or taste a beer because of over-carbonation. Strong aroma of Belgian yeast, spices, light fruits like apples, pale malts and some floral notes. Strong flavour of Belgian yeast, black pepper, pale malts and alcohol. In the back I find citrus, mild funk and slightly fermented apples. I guess the over-carbonation is caused by a light infection, that actually doesn’t do much harm to the beer. Light to moderate sweet taste, with a moderate bitter and long-lasting finish. Mid-bodied with a soft carbonation. Nice.

0.33 l bottle at ’Dulle Griet’. Slightly hazy, golden amber with a massive, foamy, almost stable, white head. Sweetish, yeasty-spicy and a bit fruity aroma of peach, pear, clove, some caramel and hints of honey. Sweetish-malty, yeasty-spicy and a bit fruity taste of peach, clove, caramel, pear and honey, followed by a medium long, moderately bitter, rather yeasty-spicy finish. Medium body, very effervescent mouthfeel, average to lively carbonation. Again way too much carbonation, the same as for the Dulle Teve and the Stout, but apart from that quite tasty. Nothing special though, the beer really suffers from the carbonation.

Krągła pełnia, umiarkowane do wysokiego wysycenie i goryczkowo- cytrusowy finisz z wyraźną nuta alkoholową.

Dosyć orzeźwiające, jak na Belgian Strong. Byłoby ciekawiej, gdyby było świeże i bardziej owocowe.

Color ambar con capa de espuma blanca desproporcionada y con textura de jabón. Carbonatación media. Aroma a levadura, malta y lúpulo (cítrico). El sabor es similar pero con menor presencia del lúpulo. Final seco y placentero. Alcohol muy bien sintetizado.

Bottle. Pours slightly cloudy golden, with an enormous creamy head. Aroma is zesty citrusy hops, and fruity Belgian yeast, with wooden notes and kandi sugar, as well as malty notes with honey. Full, creamy body, with soft carbonation. Flavour is fruity hops and tart yeasty notes with perfume and wooden barrels, as well as kandi and malty notes of bread, toffee and a slight alcoholic sting. Lingering, fruity yeast in the finish.

3 finger head took forever to die back.. descent lacing.. brew is very hazy peachy gold. Aroma is a phenolic mix of sweet and sour fruit.. green apples and underripe apricots... a little lemony.. Flavor mirrors the aroma .. same fruitiness with more spice .. white pepper ... cardamom and lite clove.. slight melon with a encompassing maltiness that does a good job tying the complexities together.. mouthfeel is light for the style .. way too much fizzy carbonation.. semi dry finish is the only place where I can detect a grassy hop presence.

Pale hazy color with a huge rocky very long lasting foam. Complex aroma of citrus, sweet yellow fruit, cloves, banana, pepper, biscuit with hints of coriander. The phenols, pepper above all, are noticeable even in the mouth and last a long after the last sip. Thin body, bitter, well hidden alcohol: all things that make it so drinkable. It’s the whole Belgium shrinked in a bottle. A great beer.
