COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Boskeun is the nickname of Jo, one of the two brothers who preferred to brew blond beer at home. It is a special Easter beer, one of the first real Belgian Easter beers. (Slaghmuylder's paasbier being first). It has been brewed with pale malt, Golding hops, cane sugar and refermented with native honey. As it is a seasonal beer we suggest not to keep it eternally. The name Boskeun means rabbit of the wood (virgin wood, maybe?) and the label shows it, sampling the last brew.

Pale amber beer with a thick white-tan head. Very fluffy and persistent. A touch of light haze as well. The beer really does look incredible. The nose has a lovely rustic note. A touch of lemony citrus and a kiss of mint as well. Soft sweetness throughout with a bit of pineapple character. Light lingering herbal spiciness. Lovely brew.

355 mL. Pours a clear, deep yellow with a gargantuan, white, pillowy, three/four finger white head that lasts forever and leaves crazy lacework. Aroma is sour apples, white grapes, Brett, lemon zest. Taste is cane sugar, pears, Pinot Grigio, white pepper, some spicy yeast, a touch of grainy malt and dirty hay and noticeable alcohol- just a touch of cloying. Complex. My first paasbier and I really like it.

Bottle. Pours with a gigantic white head (probably would have gushed if I had opened it warmer), over a hazed golden yellow body. Aroma of pears, apple skins, earth, toffee, and light flowers. Taste is candi sugar, pear eau de vie, musty books and crusty bread. Alcohol is noticeable. Slightly spicy yeast. Low residual sugars, tingling bubbles. Very nice.

Pour from a bottle revealed a mirky golden color with a huge off white head. Aromas of lemon and fruit. Mouthfeel is very smooth and medium bodied. Flavors of of mild hops, sweet malt. Finish is pretty balanced of dry bitterness with some sweetness. Not bad but not very complex.

33cl bottle. Pours cloudy orange with a white midsized head.Yeasty orangey aroma with bread and coriander notes and alcohol, flavour is like beery orange-mango juice, though dry rather than sweet, and with a dry bitter finish. Only in the finish does the strength become apparent. Weird!

Cloudy golden orange with big white head. Aroma of orange and nutmeg. Yeasty taste with orange peel, coriander and malt. Sweetish finish. Nice one.
