3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 FatPhil (5970) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - OCT 29, 2008
Crazy stupid gusher - complete soda-syphon. Rating based on the small sample that didn’t end up on the work-surface, floor, or clothes. Murky orange, head the size of a kitchen. I prefer my beers to look like they’re in a glass. Sweet fruity aroma - some plastic and lipstick, but also plenty of christmassy spices. Fairly yeasty too. Soft palate. Huge bitter kick, loads of yeast, but a fair bit of alcohol too. Esters try to cover that too, but fail, and come over as a little one-dimensional. Yeast and hops get pepperier in the mouth with each sip, and end up pretty savoury, with a long dry bitter finish. Almost mustard or horseradishy. Fairly competent belgian ale, but they really need to work out that bottle-conditioning causes CO2 to be produced. I’m surprised they aren’t aware of that by now.
3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 baggio (284) - norrtälje, SWEDEN - OCT 19, 2008
2006 vintage, bottled.
Apperance: Brownish orange with a huuuge head.
Aroma: Spices, Cider, Fruit (apples primarly), Belgian yeast.
Flavor: Apples, Sugar, Apricot, Honey, Belgian yeast.
Palate: A bit on the sweeter side at first but there’s definitely some bitterness at the end. Plenty of carbonation too. Warming.
Another good beer from the brewery that doesn’t seem to know how to make bad beer :) Recommended!

Bottle. Pours slightly hazy gold with a fluffy off-white head which leaves some slight lacing on the glass. Flowery spicy nose, honey, candi sugar, all very rich and lovely. Sweet in flavor, toasted malt, some fruitiness from the yeast ending with spicy, earthy hops. Lush and dry in the mouth. Very good.

We have a gusher!! Bottle pours cloudy golden color with a three finger white head. The head lasted throughout the drink and laced the glass. Aroma is mainly yeast and sweet sugar. Has a medium body with a lot of carbonation. Taste is mainly sweet sugar, yeast, and alcohol. Overall this is not a very complex brew, but is smooth and tasty all the same.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 dmac (2509) - Toms River, New Jersey, USA - SEP 26, 2008
11.6 oz bottle purchased at Spirits Red Bank. Well when I opened this one up you would of thought it came off a paint shaker. This thing exploded like an insurgents head after getting hit at close range by a .50 sniper shot. Pours a hazy marmalade orange with lots and lots of visible floaties and an initially large foamy white head that settles into a nice white slick of head. Aroma of yeast, slight touch of alcohol, bubblegum, sugary dough, tropical fruit and fresh cut grass/hay. Medium to full bodied with super lively fizzy carbonation, some alcohol warming and a dry finish. Flavor of bread, dried fruits, champagne yeast and a touch of alcohol. Not sure if this beer needs more time or if I need gentler hands? Personally I think it’s the former not the later.
4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 cbeers21 (693) - Miami, Florida, USA - SEP 19, 2008
Absolutely stunning pour with a hazy golden hue and a brilliant and luxusious white foamy and lasting head. I cant remember seeing aprettier beer. Great mouthfeel too; allows for a slightly spiced lightly fruited brew to dance around the palate effortlessly. Not an overwhelmingly complex offering, just balanced and enjoyable. I didnt take too many tasting notes because I was simply enjoying the experience, will definately do this one again.

UPDATED: SEP 18, 2008 BLAM. Careful when opening this one. Foam goes everywhere.
The color is a cloudy yellow-ish brown color with head for days, lots of carbonation, and a good amount of lacing. The smell is a little citrusy, with some nutmeg or allspice in there, covering up the faint alcohol smell in the background. Almost reminds me of a fall beer.
The taste has a little kick from the alcohol with a lot of citrus elements combined, again, with a little autumn spice. It is a little dry, too.
Overall, I really enjoyed this beer. A good kick and a nice mixture of spice.
