COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Boskeun is the nickname of Jo, one of the two brothers who preferred to brew blond beer at home. It is a special Easter beer, one of the first real Belgian Easter beers. (Slaghmuylder's paasbier being first). It has been brewed with pale malt, Golding hops, cane sugar and refermented with native honey. As it is a seasonal beer we suggest not to keep it eternally. The name Boskeun means rabbit of the wood (virgin wood, maybe?) and the label shows it, sampling the last brew.

Bottle gusher. Pours a cloudy copper with a dense head. Intense aroma of dill, vinegar, grapes, apples, and brown sugar. Medium body. Taste is of sweet fruit malt balanced with some sour bitterness. The alcohol is well hidden. Delicious.

’forest rabbit’ in english. Not the best beer of the ’Dolle Brouwers’ i think.

Pour was a hazy orange with a very bubbly white head. Aroma is very bready, but with some light fruity notes. The flavor is very sweet. Hits the spot nicely.

Color: Cloudy, nut brown with honey undertones. Foamy tan head and big lacing. Nose: Big chewy, raisiny and fragrant malty notes. Fresh box of Sun-Maid raisins. Milk chocolate. Palate: Sweet raisins and rich malt. A faint vegetal hoppy note. Creamy and full weight on the palate. Pleasant drying tannins on the finish and the appearance of a nice bready note.

330ml. bottle purchased at Whole Foods, Chandler, AZ. Hazy golden, with white head. Nice head retention, big carbonation. Aroma is honey, citrus, floral hops and yeast. Taste is mellow (honey), sweet malt, spice, fruity with some warmth. Finish is refreshing and clean, spicy and somewhat boozy. Another really nice ale from the De Dolle brewers; which I quite rightly enjoyed on Easter Sunday.

Dark orange/brown color with huge bubbling head. Lots of brown sugar, dark fruits, and caramel in the nose and flavor. Palate is heavier than other De Dolles but still rather thin. Slightly bitter finish and sticky feeling on the palate. Very complex beer.
