COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Boskeun is the nickname of Jo, one of the two brothers who preferred to brew blond beer at home. It is a special Easter beer, one of the first real Belgian Easter beers. (Slaghmuylder's paasbier being first). It has been brewed with pale malt, Golding hops, cane sugar and refermented with native honey. As it is a seasonal beer we suggest not to keep it eternally. The name Boskeun means rabbit of the wood (virgin wood, maybe?) and the label shows it, sampling the last brew.

Golden color, precious white and plenty head, leaving a great and marked lace. Fresh aroma, with hints of alcohol, yeast, citric like bitter orange, and something that can’t identify. In mouth is very dry, a point of grape liquor, a little bit spicy...complex, but very well structured. It improves as it developed. Need more tastings, anyway.

Light golden and greasy haze. Nice thin tight white bubbly head. Nose is sticky melon, ceramicy clove and tinny spice. Initial taste is a chalky sweetness and a quality boozey hum. Carbonation is firm and mouthfeel is taught and sticky. Finishes a bright fluffy marzipan buzz and lingers out and out clove spice.

Bottle at Appellation Wines tasting. Hazy golden body with a thin white head. Faint lacing. Aroma of orange pith, spice and marmalade. Flavour of red apple and a hint of vinegar - unusual but not unpleasant. Medium body with an oily mouthfeel. Lively fizz. Not the easiest to drink.

Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl, I think. Appearance - cloudy golden amber. Thin head. Nose - orange into marmalade. Like a barley wine. Taste - brown sugar and marmalade again. Palate - mediumto full bodied with a tangy texture and a long dry tangy finish. Overall - good beer.

Bottle from Dranken Geers. Bright opaque golden amber in the glass with a medium to large soft white foam head. Nose is delightful. Big, fruity, floral, perfumed, caramel, toffee, bready, funky, creamy, floral blossom, hints of citrous peel, grass, honey. Lots of sweetness, with a stunning floral yeasty nose. Taste is citrous bitter, lemon, grapefruit and lime peel, caramel and toffee, grassy, straw, toasted grains. So fragrant and full of flavoured. Amazing beer. Nice bitterness on the finish balanced with sweet caramel notes and big big perfumed fragrant Belgian yeast.
