COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Boskeun is the nickname of Jo, one of the two brothers who preferred to brew blond beer at home. It is a special Easter beer, one of the first real Belgian Easter beers. (Slaghmuylder's paasbier being first). It has been brewed with pale malt, Golding hops, cane sugar and refermented with native honey. As it is a seasonal beer we suggest not to keep it eternally. The name Boskeun means rabbit of the wood (virgin wood, maybe?) and the label shows it, sampling the last brew.

Golden color, precious white and plenty head, leaving a great and marked lace. Fresh aroma, with hints of alcohol, yeast, citric like bitter orange, and something that can’t identify. In mouth is very dry, a point of grape liquor, a little bit spicy...complex, but very well structured. It improves as it developed. Need more tastings, anyway.

Nice looking, hazy, golden, glowing beer. Massive Hubba Bubba nose. Now that’s not an insult.... It’s the aroma. Strong smell of blue bubblegum and a bit fruity to boot. First swig tasted like unripe banana with honey and the sour Belgium trademark flavours running around, but turned hoppy bitter on the way down. Like chewing gum with all the flavour chewed away and a bit sulphurous...... Leaving my tongue feeling like its been licked by a cat. Strangely enjoyable.

Bottle @ delirium. Corpo rotondo e finale secco e pastoso.

The added honey makes this a nice beer, because other than that it’s a typical Belgian Strange ale. Bottle from De Schans.

Bottle: Medium sized, vast and slowly disappearing or changing fluffy white foamy head on top of a cloudy yellow orange colored beer. Aromas of grains, glue, spices, some fruit and creamy barleys. Pretty basic. Flavours of glue, grains, alcohol, spices, cream, nasty malts, nasty herbs, nasty bitters. This is not what I expected. Close to a drainpour, maybe this will become a drainpour. Not good! Aftertaste of grains, herbs, nasty malty bitters and a growing spicy tone. Low carbo, soft creamy light spicy mouthfeel, medium to full body and a creamy texture. What the fuck happened with this beer? Only the palate, color and carbo are good! Don’t like it!

Appearance: Orange brown, cloudy. Sediments. Aroma: Orange, bananas, spices. Alcohol. Taste: Yeasty, some effed up fruit in there somewhere. Spices. Not something I would try again in a hurry. Info: 330ml bottle, 6/4-2013

Pours hazy amber with HUGE white head. Aroma of tropical fruits, peach, mango, ripe passion fruit. Also, some caramel malt and biscuits. Sweet! Taste continues on the sweet path with tons of fruity sweetness followed by a hint of bitterness, with maybe a touch of anise and spices. Body is light with somewhat sticky texture and carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
