Boskeun is the nickname of Jo, one of the two brothers who preferred to brew blond beer at home. It is a special Easter beer, one of the first real Belgian Easter beers. (Slaghmuylder's paasbier being first). It has been brewed with pale malt, Golding hops, cane sugar and refermented with native honey. As it is a seasonal beer we suggest not to keep it eternally. The name Boskeun means rabbit of the wood (virgin wood, maybe?) and the label shows it, sampling the last brew.

from bottle. huge gusher. crystal clear golden with a huge fluffy ever growing white head. honey orange zest aroma with light clove. sweet orange and spicy clove dominate the flavor notes of hay. long sweet/tart cooked orange finish with lingering tart orange dry spicy clove. at first over the over the top carbonation explodes in your mouth leaving nothing but foam. quite unpleasant. given the chance to settle the carbonation becomes nice lively but not over the top. without the lively carbonation the beer would possibly seem heavy sweet and sticky.

2025/10/03 - Pours a hazy, golden straw colour with a thick, frothy, off white head with strong retention and moderate lacing. Aroma is honey, yeast, coriander, spices, peach notes and light toffee. Taste is honey, dough, spices, light alcohol, woody notes and mild peach. Mouthfeel is full and sticky with sharp carbonation and a moderately sweet, mildly warming finish. Spicey, sweet, full bodied and delicious. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aroma is hard to discribe. Primairly yeasty. Taste is spicy and fruity. A good dosis of hops aswell. The carbonation was way to high for my taste. Overall disappointing.
