Commercial Description:
Boskeun is the nickname of Jo, one of the two brothers who preferred to brew blond beer at home. It is a special Easter beer, one of the first real Belgian Easter beers. (Slaghmuylder's paasbier being first). It has been brewed with pale malt, Golding hops, cane sugar and refermented with native honey. As it is a seasonal beer we suggest not to keep it eternally. The name Boskeun means rabbit of the wood (virgin wood, maybe?) and the label shows it, sampling the last brew.

11.2 oz bottle **Summary** - I was looking forward to this after picking it up on a road trip. After the bottle finally finished gushing I was left with about a third of the bottle. That is the primary reason I scored it so low. If I had gotten the full experience it might rate better. ** Aroma / Appearance** - Surging from the second it opened I had to wait for it to die down before I could pour the dregs into my glass. When it settled I as left with a chunky hazy copper beer. Malty, bubble gum, and apple cider blended into a festive time. It was much like a abbey ale with a bit of a punch. **Flavor / Palate** - Fluid, light, and a little boozy the dregs are a reflection of the quality of the rest of the product. Better than the St Bernardus Christmas ale its main weakness is the fact that I only got about four sips before it was gone. If I could find it on sale I might pick up another bottle and give it another chance.

Bottle. Poured a hazy gold/orange with a huge white head. Aroma was very complex, with red apples, cloves and other fruits present. The flavor was disappointing. Flavors were musty and dank with a sweet finish. Not my favorite.

Bottle. Hazy golden body below a frothy, white, mostly lasting head. The aroma is complex and full of clove, apple juice, honey, apricot. Notes of dust and cobweb with hints of banana and pineapple. The flavor is moderately to heavily sweet and lightly bitter. The finish remains sweet and moderately acidic. Peppery alcohol shows up at the end. Medium to full body with a velvet texture. Lively carbonation. Excellent.
