PilsnerPeter (1394), Flushing, New York, USA Aug 21, 2006 Updated: Nov 16, 2006 Pours a murky, yellowish/light brown with a fizzing and bubbly head which diminishes to a film. Sharp aroma, sweet & fruity with a hint of sourness. Slightly barnyard-like aroma with sour apple suggestions. The flavor is smooth, balanced and amazing. It has suggestions of apples, figs, a drop of belgian yeast and a bit of caramel-like sweetness. Slight toffeeish aspect in the finish, a light and heavenly smooth alcohol warmth on the way down. The alcohol is very well hidden in the flavor, you would never think it’s 10% alcohol from the flavor. Great, lively, tingly mouthfeel. A great triple.
paiste2002 (16), Saugus, California, USA Aug 24, 2008 Hazy yellow in color with a nice white head.
Aroma of fruit and spice. Flavor is fruity, spicy malty goodness with a touch of sour in the after taste. For a 10% beer this one is very easy to drink. I’ll have another. Borresteijn (509), Amstelveen, Netherlands Aug 21, 2008 Bottle @ Café Gollem. Hazy yellow/amber colour, big white head, lots of carbonation. Aroma is fruity, spicy, yeast, malts, tart. Flavour is fruity sweet, yeasty, spicy and ends a bit sour. punkrkr27 (344), Clawson, Michigan, USA Aug 18, 2008 Yellowish copper pour with a big, rocky white head and some floating sediment. The aroma has notes of honey, white grape, citrus, spice, yeast, dust, flowers, and faint alcohol. The flavor is sweet, dry and flowery with a faintly doughy malt backbone. Lots of lingering, spicy European hops and alcohol on the finish. Sticky medium body with loads of carbonation. mirjukka (355), LOHJA, Finland Aug 13, 2008 bottle 330m shared at One Pint Pub Helsinki
amber fizzy fruity bit sour tickling in the mouth alcohol presents esters pleasant aftertaste. FatPhil (2090), Espoo, Finland Aug 11, 2008 330ml bottle (One Pint, Helsinki)
Cloudy orange, small head. huge estery aroma, a little gluey. Alcoholic and fizzy palate. Rich malty body, a little bit of rubber. Heady - winey and a little alcoholic, but spookily pleasant. Too much alcohol, but otherwise a lovely brew.
