Commercial Description:
De Dulle Teve is brewed in the tradition of a Belgian Triple. Its high density stems from large amounts of pale malt increased with pale candi sugar in the brew kettle. Unfiltered, unpasteurized, bottle-conditioned.

De Dulle Teve keeps two to three years without major changes in taste. Further maturing, up to 10 years, will cause it to darken a little and lose some of its bitterness. The bittering of about 30 IBU is due to Goldings hops in the brew kettle.

Bottle. Cheesy and banana-y aroma. Rubber cement. The 10% is quite noticeable. Plenty sweet. Simple and mostly inoffensive. Pours a cloudy,, dark orange with plenty of floaties. Flavor has lots of alcohol. The yeast phenols lean toward the rubbery and band aid side. A hint of sweeter fruit. Not much in the way of hops. The candi sugar rears its head upon warming. Some honey and gingerbread? Medium to full bodied. Mouth filling carbonation. Slightly chalky on the tongue with a rather hot, alcoholic finish. Meh...

Flavor is esters, sweetened malt, candi sugar, and spice. Fairly smooth, but the alcohol is noticeable in the finish. Medium to full body. A nice beer.

Bottle. Cloudy dark yellow with floating particles and a white head. Aged malt, dust and light lemon/herbs in the nose. Flavor was sweet with notes of light caramel, lemon, grass, hay, fruity yeast character, mineral-like water and resinous bitterness. Full and round body with moderate carbonation.
