Commercial Description:
De Dulle Teve is brewed in the tradition of a Belgian Triple. Its high density stems from large amounts of pale malt increased with pale candi sugar in the brew kettle. Unfiltered, unpasteurized, bottle-conditioned.

De Dulle Teve keeps two to three years without major changes in taste. Further maturing, up to 10 years, will cause it to darken a little and lose some of its bitterness. The bittering of about 30 IBU is due to Goldings hops in the brew kettle.

Bottle. Sweet apricot/apple malt aroma with an alcohol bite. Hazy yellow amber with giant white head. Tart lemon initially followed by a sweet apricot/apple flavor with strong alcohol bite. Nice - a tad harsh.

(3/6/08) Bottle shared with jerc at Trappistenhuis in Ghent. Cloudy orange with a white head. Sweetish aroma of fruits, caramel, some yeast and some hops. Sweetish flavor of malt, some caramel, yeast, lightly spiced. Medium-bodied. Good.

Pours a hazy orange/amber with a massive off-white foamy head. Leaves nice lacing. Aroma of citrus, some fruits, yeast, and a dry alcohol. Very sweet, creamy caramel at first in the flavor with a spicey, fruity middle. The fizzy citrus and alcohol don’t surface until the finish, leaving a slightly bitter dryness.

Light fruity aroma, amazing lacing, white head. Alcohol and carbonation dominated the flavors in the palate. When it settles fruits prevail.

The Dolle Breuwers...with a crazy bitch. Appearence like a apple-cider. The nose is light fruity, peach and something sweet. The body is round, fruity and firm and has notes of champange...though missing the bubbles.
