Commercial Description:
De Dulle Teve is brewed in the tradition of a Belgian Triple. Its high density stems from large amounts of pale malt increased with pale candi sugar in the brew kettle. Unfiltered, unpasteurized, bottle-conditioned.

De Dulle Teve keeps two to three years without major changes in taste. Further maturing, up to 10 years, will cause it to darken a little and lose some of its bitterness. The bittering of about 30 IBU is due to Goldings hops in the brew kettle.

Dark gold color with a frothy 2" head. A yeasty banana smell took me back to the days of Redhooks Original Ale. Medium bodied and lightly carbonated. Nice taste is a yeasty, fruit centric concoction with banana, apple, and cherry flavors. Has a slight alcohol sting to finish. A tooty fruity tripel here. 1107

Pours a cloudy orange color with lots of effervescence and a massive, brilliant white, creamy head which is mostly lasting and leaves lots of nice lace. Nose is nice for a tripel with lots of doughy and spicy yeast notes, pear, some floral hints, and maybe some cardamon. Flavor could be nice but is overshadowed by large amounts of candied sugar; other notes of include spicy yeast, light doughy yeast, faint pear, and some nice bitter hop notes. Palate is nice; lively, round, creamy, and more than medium in body. Finishes somewhat unpleasant with candi sugar, spicy notes and some bitterness lingering with some definate warmth. Not what I was expecting with such high scores. The nose, appearance, and palate were all good, but the overpowering candi sugar and the offputting finish just killed it.

hazy burnt gold color with a fluffy creamy head. sweet spicy yeast aroma with some fruit hop notes. soft bodied with a dense carbonation. fruity alcohol flavor of apples and pears, yeast, a cookie dough maltiness, and a strong spiciness. full and strong flavors but balanced and surprisingly easy drinking

Poured a dark golden yellow with a huge fluffy white head that came bursting out of the bottle. Aroma is of yeast, hops and sweet fruit. Flavors of yeast and dough really come through. Body is medium with lively carbonation, almost too much, but it is still an excellent brew. Easy drinking for 10%.

Pours hazy orange with huge bits of pulp-like sediment and large fluffy white head. Aroma is yeasty and spicy with notes of candied sugar, apple, pear, some citrus, nice floral hops. Nice fruity flavor melds well with yeasty notes- apple, cardamon, peppery notes, some alcohol, hop bitterness. Palate is medium-thick and oily with a dry finish. A nice beer that makes me wish I was more of a fan of tripels.

Bottle (33 cl) at Tre små rum, Göteborg, Sweden. Hazy deep golden with a large fluffy white head. Spicy, yeasty, slightly fruity with clear notes of alcohol. Medium bodied and smooth. Good balance, quite dry.
