De Dulle Teve is brewed in the tradition of a Belgian Triple. Its high density stems from large amounts of pale malt increased with pale candi sugar in the brew kettle. Unfiltered, unpasteurized, bottle-conditioned.

De Dulle Teve keeps two to three years without major changes in taste. Further maturing, up to 10 years, will cause it to darken a little and lose some of its bitterness. The bittering of about 30 IBU is due to Goldings hops in the brew kettle.

Flaska systembolaget.

Draft at uber. Apparently I’ve had this and ticked it a "3" at some point. Let’s see what a different mood does for this. Cloudy pale pour with small ring of bubbles for head. Aroma is ... weird. First thing I think is dishwater, followed by overripe fruit, followed by vegetables. Fuck man, I don’t know, but basically nothing in this nose appeals to me. Taste sweet up front, herbal fruity bitterness at end but feels too thick, too sweet, too strong, too gross throughout. Overall: nope, I do not care for this. I’d like to see through the apparent weaknesses of my own palate, but I can’t -- I enjoy no phase of this beer. I’m clearly in the minority.

Hazy orange pour with large tight white head that lasts a long time. Smells of tart green apples, apricots, some clove, some floral hop and lightly earthy yeast notes. The taste has a bit of hop and acid bite at the front end, then floral honey, apricot, light apple, fresh multigrain bread, musty yeast. Very good balance of sweetness and bitterness. Medium to full bodied. Exceptionally crafted tripel - many are overly sweet but this one has excellent complexity and balance.

Fruity, esthery, spicy, ripe prunes, alcohol, lots of yeast and floral hops. Hazy golden colour, medium white head. Noticably sweet, lightly bitter, lots of esthery notes, ABV evident, but well integrated, Fullbodied, lively carbonation, sweetish finish.

Hazy orange color with big white head. Aroma is apples, citrusy, apricots, toffee, candied sugar, very yeasty. Taste is with tart fruits (hints of balsamico even!), quite a sting at the beginning, again toffee and spices, with a boozy, warming finish. High carbonation. A quite complex Tripel, driven very much by fruit esters and sweetness, the tart sting at the beginning is really adding a lot of character. One of the better Tripels I’ve had.

Pours murky light orange, explosive head no matter how careful the pour. Banana, honey, booze on the nose. Taste abounds in yeast and miscellaneous esters, banana, apricot, grass, pepper, clove. Very assetive tripel, quite good.

330 ml. bottle. Labeled April 2017 on cap. It pours a lightly hazed orange color with a massive, frothy off white head. The aroma is bready with some rather strong apple and pear esters. Dusty yeast. The flavor is strongly alcoholic with honey, orange and apple. Some hints of peppery yeast notes in the finish with more alcohol. Full bodied but well attenuated. Fruit, honey and alcohol stand out. Pretty good, although not really my favorite style.

Bottle at home. Aroma of ripe fruits, yeast, apples, malt, bread, toffee, caramel, some sugar, clove, more spicy notes, some hops. Flavour is medium sweet with a light bitterness in the finish. Body is medium, carbonation is quite lively. Nicely complex Tripel!
