COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
De Dulle Teve is brewed in the tradition of a Belgian Triple. Its high density stems from large amounts of pale malt increased with pale candi sugar in the brew kettle. Unfiltered, unpasteurized, bottle-conditioned.

De Dulle Teve keeps two to three years without major changes in taste. Further maturing, up to 10 years, will cause it to darken a little and lose some of its bitterness. The bittering of about 30 IBU is due to Goldings hops in the brew kettle.

Cask. Pours clear amber with average, creamy white head; decent retention and lacing. Aroma is cookie and caramel malts, floral hops, pears, light fig, and light herbs. Flavor is sweet malts forward with supporting floral hops and fresh fruit esters along with a hint of spice; dry, lightly sweet finish. Medium/full body and low carbonation.

33cl bottle into chalice glass. Looks appealing with a translucent deep amber body and a large rocky white head that settles to a firm lacing collar. I get oranges, lemon peel, candy sugar, pine needles, white peppers and alcohol on the nose and this is reflected on the tongue with a lively mouthfeel and medium-full body. Finishes sweet and a little sticky (certainly contrary to the stated description of 30 IBUs). A superior Belgian Tripel that goes down surprisingly easy given the high ABV.

Pours a hazy gold with a thick white head. Smells of basement aromas, leather, caramel. Taste is sour, very yeasty, with a follow up of some sweet maltiness and a note of hops.

Bottled in 2010. A fizzy, hazy light orange tripel with a lasting white head. Notes of plum, orange peel, caramel malt and a hint of raisin. Yeasty spice. Slightly tangy. Mild bitterness and sweetness. Boozy and smooth.

Pale orange colour, little hazy, and a thick head. Smells lemon and yeast. Taste is slightly peppery, some caramel and a bit hoppy. Dry finish. It would be excellent, if the alcohol would be better hidden...but still great.

11.2oz bottle poured into tulip glass; pure Belgian deliciousness; I don’t know why the bitch is mad - I’m not after thoroughly enjoying a couple; beautiful pale color; sharp up front; dry; maybe it’s more like a typical tripel as it ages, but not now; more like a Belgian strong ale.

On tap at high dive. Pours cloudy butterscotch orange with small white head. Aromas of bread, spicy yeast, some citrus and light fruits as well. Flavors of belgain yeast, spices, citrus, yeast, and bready malt base. Nice big triple. Not my favorite style but this was nice.

Bottle. Pour is hazy butterscotch with floaties and a small white head. Aroma and flavor are deep sweet orange malt, cane sugar, light spice, and faint Belgian yeast notes. Faint cereal malt in the finidh. Every time I have this beer, I think it’s going to be less sweet, but it’s not. Just not my thing.
