Commercial Description:
De Dulle Teve is brewed in the tradition of a Belgian Triple. Its high density stems from large amounts of pale malt increased with pale candi sugar in the brew kettle. Unfiltered, unpasteurized, bottle-conditioned.

De Dulle Teve keeps two to three years without major changes in taste. Further maturing, up to 10 years, will cause it to darken a little and lose some of its bitterness. The bittering of about 30 IBU is due to Goldings hops in the brew kettle.

Bottled.Thx rlgk Cloudy orange. Yeasty and spicy aroma with a warm alco-feel. Spicy flavour with citrus and pomerance. A bit too much alcohol present.

Pours a cloudy golden in color with an off white head. Had a sweet aroma with sharp carbonation. Can taste the alcohol when it first hits your palate, but disappears when it goes down. I was hoping for a bit more from this with a name mad bitch and 10% alcohol.

De Kuppe, Bruges, New Year’s Eve. Deep amber pour with heaps of rocky froth. Lacy as granny’s doileys. Sweetly fruity, unspicy snout with yeasty hints of pineapple and apricot. A bit bland and thin for the ABV. Drinks way below its strength, with a vague fruitiness. Smells better than it tastes. So-so elephant tranquiliser.

Bottle. $4.99 @ Holiday Wine Cellar. Holy crap, this is good. Golden color. Aroma of Bubble gum, banana and spice. Flavor is incredible. I really don’t know how to explain it, but it’s that typical belgian triple yeasty flavor intensified by 20. Delicious. Sweet, but not overboard. These guys must have scientists working on their yeasts.

Bottle. A very nice and fruity beer. Also very herbal. The alcolhol taste is not there. So be aware of the strength. Could tast it also from draft. A whole different beer. On bottle it has more body and on draft it is more subtile and complex.

Bottle @ Brugs Beertje, Brugge. A deep orange/golden colored beer. Lively body with a slight haze. Big lasting beige head. Aroma is like a fruit-bomb to the nose, oranges, apricots, bananas, peach, melon, apples detected... Also scents of perfume and bubble-gum. Sweet, alluring citrus in the flavor, along with pale malts, candy-suger, mild spices, noble hops and an inoffensive alcohol touch. Lingering bitterness towards the end. Very easy to drink, very smooth, and still lively and refreshing. A favorite!
