Lacy as granny’s doileys. Sweetly fruity, unspicy snout with yeasty hints of pineapple and apricot. A bit bland and thin for the ABV. Drinks way below its strength, with a vague fruitiness. Smells better than it tastes. So-so elephant tranquiliser. rlgk (3377), Vårgårda, Sweden

Quite alot of alcohol in flavor, malty, spicy. Pepper finish and again with alittle too much alcohol. Naven (868), Poway, California, USA

Holy crap, this is good. Golden color. Aroma of Bubble gum, banana and spice. Flavor is incredible. I really don’t know how to explain it, but it’s that typical belgian triple yeasty flavor intensified by 20. Delicious. Sweet, but not overboard. These guys must have scientists working on their yeasts. ucusty (1879), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA

Could tast it also from draft. A whole different beer. On bottle it has more body and on draft it is more subtile and complex. OleR (2030), Oslo, Norway
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | May 11, 2007 Bottle @ Brugs Beertje, Brugge. A deep orange/golden colored beer. Lively body with a slight haze. Big lasting beige head.
Aroma is like a fruit-bomb to the nose, oranges, apricots, bananas, peach, melon, apples detected... Also scents of perfume and bubble-gum. Sweet, alluring citrus in the flavor, along with pale malts, candy-suger, mild spices, noble hops and an inoffensive alcohol touch. Lingering bitterness towards the end. Very easy to drink, very smooth, and still lively and refreshing. A favorite! Dogbrick (2855), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | May 9, 2007 Sample at Firewaters in Atlantic City. This beer pours a hazy yellow-orange color with a medium rocky white head that lasts the whole (small) glass. Large patches of lacing. The aroma consists of yeast, citrus and different spices. Medium body with sweet clove and malt flavors, along with touches of hops and alcohol. Nice fruity undertones as well. The finish is both fruity and spicy. All in all this is a solid Tripel.
