Commercial Description:
De Dulle Teve is brewed in the tradition of a Belgian Triple. Its high density stems from large amounts of pale malt increased with pale candi sugar in the brew kettle. Unfiltered, unpasteurized, bottle-conditioned.

De Dulle Teve keeps two to three years without major changes in taste. Further maturing, up to 10 years, will cause it to darken a little and lose some of its bitterness. The bittering of about 30 IBU is due to Goldings hops in the brew kettle.

Robe dorée voilée sans mousse. Arômes de malt et de levure. Saveurs de malt, de levure, de co2 et de houblon amérisant. Très pétillante.

<!-- B -->Bottle<!-- /B --> Poures a slightly hazy light golden color with a very nice dense white head. Even after i slowly sneaked it into the glass. Nice fruity musty aromas. Apples, pears, some spicy cinnimon. Nice sweet flavor. A little butterscotch, apple butter, slightly musty belgian notes, a decent ABV kick and very lively carbonation.

Slightly hazy gold under a big, foamy, effervescing head that collapses quickly. Aroma is bready and yeasty with some faint floral notes. Nice medium body with lively carbonation. Light toffee sweetness gives way to sour and spicy flavors. Finsihes with a lasting sourness and a bit of astringent bitterness that lasts quite a while. I din’t really note the alcohol in the aroma or flavor, although I sure noticed it by the end of the glass.

Pours an amber color with golden hues, beneath a ridiculous mound of white foam. Flowery and earthy yeast aromas flow out of the glass followed by sublte hints of white grapes. A light sweetness hits the tounge followed by a peppery spice, biscuity malts and some herbal notes. Not bad.

Aroma is strongly bready, tobacco, and a dominating aroma that neither me nor my friend can recognize. Slightly sweet and soy saucy. Pours deep cloudy orange with a huge white head that dies quickly. Taste is extremely strong and assertive, with almonds and spice, sour bread, and yet more tastes I’m failing to recognize. A pretty extreme and crazy beer; just what I’d expect from De Dolle.

Bottle sampled with Stegosaurus. Pours a copper with a white head. Aroma of caramel malts, citrus and spices. Flavor is sweet, alcohol, and bitter in the finish. Wasn’t impressed.
