xproudfoot (729), Paleolithic, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 23, 2006 Bottle. Spicy coriander apple aroma. Generous eggshell head on clear orange-amber beer. Active fizz. Very fruity, like biting into apple - much more so than many similar tripels. Cinnamon coriander is detectable. Lively hops. Bored of this kind of beer though, dulle teve 10 doesn’t do much to rise out of the huge pack of similar tripels for me, too much spice and sweet, heavy, almost syrups, unsubtle. Still very good but not my cup o tea right now. hezron (600), Viroqua, Wisconsin, USA Apr 17, 2006 Fresh, light and citrusy hop aroma with a light malt, hint of black pepper and some vinous notes. Light golden color with a frothy-white head. Malty, fruity, citrus flavors with a warming hint of alcohol. Hint of a skunky, funky note in the finish, but it isn’t bad. Lighter body, dry mouthfeel, very enjoyable. SDbruboy (1832), San Diego, California, USA Apr 16, 2006 750 ml bottle, thanks to Sprinkle for this beauty. Pours a hazy, orangey golden color with a huge creamy white head that lingers well and leaves a bit of lace. Aroma is sweet, spicy and yeasty, orange and clove with noticible alcohol. Citrus and bready flavors, mellow summer fruits, more clove, coriander and alcohol. Medium to full body, creamy carbonation. Yummy! malachi (62), Seattle, Washington, USA Apr 14, 2006 Light yellow/orange pour with a thin head that holds a pineapple, grapefruit, acetone aroma. High carbonation, with a strong honey strawberry overtone in the body and the alcohol isn’t well hidden. The alcohol flavor and bitterness continue to increase as the body warms. Dry finish. CMUBEERMAN (415), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Apr 6, 2006 Pours a dark bronze amber with a ultra thick white head...that lasts and lasts and...goes away. Aroma is yeasty...and is the first beer of de dolle that smells of bread. Aroma is also a bit spicey, fruity sweet (citrus), and a tad malty. Taste is very spicey and sweet...tons of fruit...tons of malt...healthy amount of alcohol...a bit acidic and sour (maybe a bit of bret)...rich caramel/honey...shit this is good. This is a big beer...big in the american since...there is so much going on...very unexpected for a tripel. Mouthfeel is crisp and wet...fairly light bodied...lets put is this way...I wouldn’t want a six pack of these, an hour wait, and a speaking event. This is definitely a great great beer. beerprincess (51), Indiana, USA Apr 5, 2006 Cloudy gold with a nice head. The nose led to hints of dough, fruit and malt. Nice and smooth with hops on the tongue. Dedollewaitor (3622), Odense, Denmark Apr 5, 2006 Updated: Sep 29, 2009Hazy golden, huge head. Just as abstract as any de dolle beer, but not as complex.n A tripel that holds 10%..Fruits and hops. live carbonation! Not the best de dolle beer, but still a quality product! Rerate Sep. 09. Vintage 3 years old bottle. Vinous, smooth, herbal, spicy. Very yeasty, some brett and tropical fruits. Complex and war. 3,8 - 3,9. MI2CA (1260), Noblesville, Indiana, USA Apr 4, 2006 Sample at Indy tasting Dick’s BBQ 3/31/06 - 2001 or 2002 bottle - Aroma is yeast, malt, apple, and citrus. Pours golden with small head and decent lacing. Flavor matches with some hop tartness in the back. Palate is smooth and clean. I have not had a freshy to compare, but this was an easy drinking tasty brew.
