Commercial Description:
De Dulle Teve is brewed in the tradition of a Belgian Triple. Its high density stems from large amounts of pale malt increased with pale candi sugar in the brew kettle. Unfiltered, unpasteurized, bottle-conditioned.

De Dulle Teve keeps two to three years without major changes in taste. Further maturing, up to 10 years, will cause it to darken a little and lose some of its bitterness. The bittering of about 30 IBU is due to Goldings hops in the brew kettle.

Luckgirl’s review is spot on. I’ll add that I smell and taste a hint of wood. This is an extreme beer and unlike any triple you’ve had, you’ll either love it or hate it. I love it! Aside from the outrageous carbonation I enjoy every aspect of this brew. One of my favorites.

From a 75ml into a snifter. Beer pours a hazy, light amber-gold color with a huge, off-white, rocky, quickly diminishing, mostly lasting head. The aroma fits the name—it’s floral, sweet, ballsy, complex and beautiful! Lightly malty with a note of toasted grain; a moderate note of hoppy herbs (dill), pine and a trace of grapefruit; heavily yeasty with a note of soap and a trace of cellar; and packed with strong, juicy, miscellaneous notes of flowers like rosewater and honeysuckle, and esters of white grape, coriander, honey and a trace of mustard powder. The flavor is heavily sweet, lightly bitter with a long, lightly acidic, moderately warm, moderately bitter finish. The body is medium-to-full, the texture is watery and the carbonation is lively. This is a work of art and an obvious labor of love—a super star!

Pours out a cloudy golden color with a big frothy white head, very carbonated. Aroma is sweet and fruity. Taste is very complex and well balanced with notes of fruit mostly apple pear and maybe some grape here or there. This was quite the beer, like the name too.

Golden body with a good gold head. Heavy carbonation. Very nice citrus and sweet fruits are evident in the aroma, very pleasing. Sweet grapes very present in the taste, yeast is noticeable. Almost a white wine type taste. Extremely pleasent ending, very smooth.

330 mL bottle. Pours cloudy straw gold (harvest moon) with a large foamy white head, lasts a good while yet calms down a bit. Aroma is freshly baked buttery bread and sweet fruit (grape, apple, pear) and yeast, malt (biscuit). Fizzy, biting spicy sour fruit and buttered bread, low sweetness and medium acidity, bitterness. Medium bodied and warm, spicy palate.
