COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
De Dulle Teve is brewed in the tradition of a Belgian Triple. Its high density stems from large amounts of pale malt increased with pale candi sugar in the brew kettle. Unfiltered, unpasteurized, bottle-conditioned.

De Dulle Teve keeps two to three years without major changes in taste. Further maturing, up to 10 years, will cause it to darken a little and lose some of its bitterness. The bittering of about 30 IBU is due to Goldings hops in the brew kettle.

UPDATED: SEP 6, 2007 Rerate of corked 750ml bottle aged probably 4-5 years, but I don’t know because it’s not dated (sampled on 9/6/07): Pours a transparent bright effervescent golden with a large, frothy white head. Aroma of sweet floral hops and biscuity pale Belgian malt. Body has nice fullness and carbonation along with a sweet light caramel and floral yeasty earthy flavor. Seems to have aged well.

Corked 750ml bottle sampled 1/28/04: Pours a cloudy golden with a thick pillowy and well-lacing white head. Tart barnyard aroma with some bready yeast and candi sugar presence, very reminiscent of a saison. Body starts sweet with a touch of caramel and biscuit malts, goes through a more tart bready stage and finishes dry, bittersweet and refreshing, without any trace of alcohol. A very drinkable beer and masterfully done. This mad bitch has made me happy.

Nice aroma of honey and alcohol. The alcohol burn is a tad sharp, enjoyable malty flavour.

A - pours nice golden with some floaties. Very very high fluffy head. Strong clinging. S - strong Belgian yeasts and astringent. Notes orange peel, tart fruit, funk. M - strong sticky up front, fades to a flatter drier end. Malty sweet throughout, with a lingering astringent sting in the end. T - soapy Belgian yeasts up front. Flatter sweeter middle, apples, over ripe bananas, yeasts, soap on the palate. Lingering light astringent, sweet bread and sweet vegetal malts. O - interesting fruity bready Belgian. 7

Bottle from Etre Gourmet webshop. Pours almost clear golden with a huge frothy white head. Aroma of spicy hops, sweet fruity and yeast. Taste is first of all a very lively spicy mouthfeel, high carbonated, moderate alcohol burn towards the end.

Pours a hazy gold with a thick white head. Smells of basement aromas, leather, caramel. Taste is sour, very yeasty, with a follow up of some sweet maltiness and a note of hops.

Draught at Mikkeller Bar. Light amber with a fluffy white head. Spicy banana-heavy aroma, but something feels wrong. The aroma is muted and takes a lot of work to experience. Has the fuller body you’d expect from a 10% beer but I’m finding it hard not to be disappointed. It’s not a bad beer by any stretch, but it falls somewhat flat here.

33cl Bottle, bottled Jan 2011. Drunk May 2012. Amberblond, white head, not as lasting as usual. Sweet citrus flavor, candy sugar, a bit acidic as well. Taste is quite sweet/sugary, light bitter finish. Easy to drink a lot, but probably a mad bitch the day after!

tulip. gold color clean body and massive head and lots of lacing. aromas are citrus, hay, yeast. taste up front is a bit sweet, not very bitter, yeasty, and lots of notes of hay and coriander. The texture in this beer is very interesting, at first I took a sip of the head and very fluffy texture and some of that feeling remained as I washed my mouth while drinking the beer. brilliant!

Sharp, sweet aroma. You can small the sugar. Pours a big head with big fluffy bubbles. Leaves traces on the sides of the glass as the head dissipates. Golden, with lots of particulate matter floating around. Lots of carbonation so it hits the tongue a bit like a sour. Dry finish. Ziggy start with a lemon’ish sour dry finish. Maltyness really sticks around in the mouth with is interesting with such a dry finish.

Poured on draft into a whiskey tasting glass. Appearance is densely hazy yellow with a thick frothy head of white foam. Aroma is slightly tart, but a light sweetness is the more present aroma. In the taste I get an interesting salty sweet note that’s oddly nice. Difficult to explain. Really good beer.
